I'd pass on it, since it's apparently not that great and made by Dimps to boot. Can't wait to play SMT IV probably in a year or so when Atlus release it in Europe :moody: What princess thingy?

"Assets" in this context refers to art assets such as textures and 3D models, though.

and who'd think the Next Virtual Boy would be made by Microsoft :p

Yeah I was torn on to what system to get next after PS3, It's a Retron 5 But as far as current systems go 3DS is next. Plenty of Mario love there, some New Zelda on the way. Everything the WII U is getting (Besides Bayonetta 2 which I need to see more of before I'm set on it)

Then again I also have retro consoles to collect for....

    GAME OVER LOAD

    Fair enough

The game I was thinking of is Code of Princess. It's basically Guardian Heroes for the 3DS

He's referring to Code of Princess.

And regardless, SM3DLand didn't use SMG assets. Which is all I was trying to say. I brought up SMB3 to point out why it wouldn't have used SMG assets.

I don't hate the guy. He's just been grumpy lately, but he's behaving now, and I don't want to beef with anyone.

    Forum behaves I behave.

Anyways since we're talking about Mario There is ONE THING left for Mario to do that hasn't been done before.
Ever Play Blinx on XBOX Classic? If you gave Mario that Mechanic that would be all sorts of Epic, the Sonic CD of Mario so to speak.
Frankly I'm sick of the same old same old for Mario. The Games don't suck but they aren't trying to be different either.

Dude, seriously, for the taxes and shipping charges if you buy both, the xbox one and the ps4 at the release date on Brazil it would be cheaper to fly to USA, buy it and fly back.

Actually I know tons of people who do it because it's cheaper. It may not be cheaper on the holidays but it sure is worth it.

    http://www.destructoid.com/did-sony-confirm-drm-on-ps4-after-all-not-quite--256052.phtml

Right now, on the PS3, publishers can choose to input online passes, or could theoretically toss in multiplayer features that require legitimate copies to work. Publishers can also choose whether or not to region-lock their discs -- most choose not to. Tretton is basically confirming all of that is still possible.

The major difference between PS4 and Xbox One, of course, is that Sony hasn't made it easier for corporations to control the behavior of their customers, because the PS4 doesn't tie your copies to your accounts, or initiate checks to scrub traded game data off your system. Basically, Microsoft designed the Xbox One to make it as easy as flipping a switch to eradicate any possibility of sharing your games, while Sony is maintaining its policy of this current generation.

All I see is Sony keeping things how they were, and making it easier for us to identify which individual publishers are going to be total dicks about this. Sony, apparently, won't be one of them -- first party games are said to not use DRM, full stop.

    Spot on.

Sony responded to our query, reiterating that all disc-based games will be able to be traded and resold at the owner's discretion, regardless of whether it's first or third party.

"Similar to PS3, we will not dictate the online used game strategy (the ability to play used games online) of its publishing partners," a Sony representative told Polygon. "As announced last night, PS4 will not have any gating restrictions for used disc-based games. When a gamer buys a PS4 disc they have right to use that copy of the game, so they can trade-in the game at retail, sell it to another person, lend it to a friend, or keep it forever."

The Sony representative also confirmed that the Online Pass program used in some Sony first-party games on PS3 would not be used at all for its titles on PS4.

I'm pleased with what Nintendo showed off just not the timeframe. I've been waiting for a new Smash Bros and Mario Kart I just wish that one of them was coming out this year. I figure Sonic, Donkey Kong and Mario will hold me over though.

Oh. Well frankly that isn't worth it. For $800 I'd buy a gaming PC before a console.

And Yoshi's Island next year! The 3DS is definitely the system to get right now.

I was surprised at how good DS games look on the giant 3DS XL screen...

I really like how the 3DS is getting better and better. I still don't understand why Nintendo region locked it though.

So they can price games appropriately for each market and prevent cheap games from developing markets being sold for in more wealthy zones.

Sort of how steam makes games super cheap in russia to fight piracy but you cant get them on steam outside russia.

Of course 3rd party market has sprung up of gifted games for cash or new steam account tied to the game for the price... say $5 for game that is $30 in usa, they sell for $9 with steam account attached.

You just log into the account, beat the game and then resell the account.

Well, they lost a customer because of that. Region locking a portable system is just wrong. I could have bought one last year, but since an european system wouldn't work with US / Brazilian games, there's no point in getting one.

I'm not familiar with any DS game that doesn't work on a 3DS, provided it didn't have some odd 3rd party add-on like Guitar Hero.
