http://metro.co.uk/2014/05/22/sega-...ntendo-registers-code-name-s-t-e-a-m-4736432/ Probably going to be nothing as usual, but my interest in e3 has rose slightly
Nintendo will be doing a Smash Bros event where anyone can come in (if you get there in time before sell out) and play a game of Smash on Wii U. Most likely there will be a prototype Smash disc in those Wii Us. It will be interesting if one were to magically disappear...
I'm looking forward to it. I always enjoy watching the conferences. I hope they announce something cool. I wonder if Valve will be doing anything. Half Life 3 please? Also, the Apple WWDC is the week before E3. Not gaming related, but I'm looking forward to that too.
If valve is gonna show something odds are its going to be the final steam controller and probably official steamboxes, or even better a proprietary model like the Nexus series from google to show every OEM out there the path to follow As for the rest, M$ already committed seppuku with the kinect announcement much like Sega did roughly 20 years ago with the surprise Saturn launch, the wiiu is fucking done for and nintendo is bleeding money, and Sony will most likely show a production ready (or close to) version of Morpheus and probably a VR social network now that zuckerborg announced he wants to create a matrix using the oculus and his pile of data mining money. As for Sega, seriously guys, nothing gonna happen there...
Please help me understand the logic behind your anology between Surprise Sega Saturn Launch Vs Xbox one kinect Hardware.Aside from your implying that in your opinion the kinect failed hard like the launch of the Sega Saturn which is hyperbole at this point I don't see the similarities in your analogy. Why not use this instead Nintendo forgoing disc media for cartridges, and Nintendo breaking their deal with Sony during the development of the SNES CD. Or heres one for hyperbole Sony over promises and under delivers , and for the sony fanboys Xbox is evil because they declared DRM and should be crucified (while behind the scenes at the same E3 event Sony quietly rips their own Similar DRM announcement and joins the sabre rattling and champions anti-DRM policies). Gimmie a break smh.
I'm anxiously awaiting Microsoft's announcement of their plans for Halo this year. We already know Halo 5 is coming out next year, as well as the TV series. Last year they said our journey will begin in 2014, and Frank O'Connor basically said there will be an announcement of what that "journey" will be at E3 this year. There's already tons of speculation, like Halo 2 AE 360 and XBO or a Halo collection (1 - 4) released on XBO. There might even be some information released about the digital feature, which hopefully will come out later this year. Either way, I can't wait.
This is off topic but the Xbox One presentation and launch was an unprecedented fail in the history of the games industry. Console makers have always made consoles to play games. Xbox One was trying to appeal to everyone but gamers. Even the CDI with its interactive educational software and golf games was focusing more on gamers than microsoft was with their insulting launch presentation. You can't really compare it to another console launch because there has never been one so misguided.
CDI>Xbox One what you smoking now bro. Tell me again what the CDI tried to be if you remembered back in the day in which I do not believe that you were born yet. CDI being geared towards gamers more than Xbox one huh? Now I know what you said is a joke right there. Give me examples of games on the CDI that sold in the hundreds of thousands at launch then you can have your purely fanboyish comment hold some water. 1 Otherwise to make a feeble attempt at sarcasm work I'll let you contemplate featurewise which one is a true "Multi-Media Device" the CDI or Xbox One. Forgive me if I say this but your comments is nothing but fanboyish comments, and a straight up hater of all things Microsoft and Xbox. If your point was to rile up anti-microsoft sentiment then it works at a pretty school level but if your comments is to incite stimulating Pre E3 hype and hoopla then well may your choice or lack thereof dirty guide you towards the right direction lol .
I shouldn't really respond to this kind of comment but I will. I was born in the 70s and my first console was a Coleco Telstar Pong. I also own an original Xbox and an Xbox 360 which were both great consoles. I also remember playing the CDI instore units at circuit city here in the US. It was billed as a multimedia console but the demo units all showcased games even if they were Golf. My statement about the Xbox One presentation and launch was a reply to someone daring to compare it to the Sega Saturn which was so incorrect that I had to comment. I think your reply xboxsegafan accusing me of fanboyism is ironic considering your username. Also this has been a forum of intelligent mature discussion about all aspects of the games industry. Please take your insulting comments to GameFaqs where that kind of thing is tolerated. Now back to E3, Microsoft and Nintendo will be the presentations to watch this year though Sony I'm sure will deliver some good exclusives.
Intelligent comment aside as stated before I did say "forgive me" in my previous statement . If sarcasm was your comeback towards shadowlayer then a courtesy @ would suffice in directing said comment. My comments are defensive in nature due to the increasing amounts of FUD and Sony bias slant in the many posts regarding E3 threads and heaven forbid the dreaded PS4 Vs Xbox One. There seems to be a lack of balance opinion don't you think? Assumptions work both ways as I made a assumption about your statement and you made an assumption about my "fanboyism" as assumed by my username. Hate and Dislike are two different things, just because I dislike Sony doesn't mean I hate Sony. I have hundreds of PS games, and love some of the Sony exclusive games like uncharted, God of War, infamous to name a few. However seeing so many opiniated posts having an anti-Microsoft slant is growing tiresome like my anti-fanboy rants is growing tiresome to some forumites here .
Dear Microsoft, Lost Odyssey 2, Phantom Dust 2, the RPG of Crimson Dragon (even though Crimson Dragon sucked I know Futatsugi could make a bitchin' spiritual successor to PDSaga), and... let Rare do something interesting for a change. Dear Nintendo, You just put Adventures of Lolo on the Wii U eShop, so I don't really care what you announce, I'm happy for the moment. Though if you want to hurry up with getting Adventures of Lolo 2 and 3 and Golden Sun: The Lost Age on the eShop I won't complain. Adventures of Lolo U would be an incredible surprise that won't happen.
Oh no j.p no need to write a letter a new phantom dust is coming and Rare will be showing some new old stuff hoping for battle toads, Perfect Dark reboot, and Conker (wishful thinking in my part). Like I mentioned wait till E3 as a pretty big surprise announcement maybe incoming then again it could be empty hype. Let's hope for the latter
No worries xboxsegafan! I should have used the @ or quoted the Saturn reference. If Microsoft delivers some amazing games at e3 and turns it around I think that would be great. I do want Sunset Overdrive so that's a start. How about a sequel to Panzer Dragoon Orta? If they do a holiday price drop then we have a real fight on our hands up there with genesis vs snes.
iam eagerly awaiting what the new 2ds will function like ! And looking forward too all the new software and advancement in the hardware updates on the firmware...And yes Shadow of the Beast lol.
