Fair enough but im not going to take the chance, will opt for the patriot rang of cards. At the mo im using the default OS in advanced mode (very easy to use and rather windows like) and Pupeee on a usb stick (not really a fan as not that polished and rather chuncky looking). I am trying to get eeebuntu working but at the mo just making coasters with it. I want mint but may hold off till the new Ubuntu version comes out as there is a strong chance it will support the EEE oout of the box. Still loving the EEE just not brave enough to ditch the desktop just yet.
Mind sharing where you got these touchscreens from? I've got a Kohjinsha that I am in love with and the addition of a touch interface would be heavenly.
i wonder if someone here could help me out a bit.... now that we've got a few EeePC users, could i get one of you to test out the Nascar Heat Mod launcher on the EeePC? I'm running the default graphics drivers on an nlited xp install, and it returns an error, asking if my drivers were up to date Specifically, I'm looking to know if the game works with the modified drivers before i go about installing them (no need to if it doesnt work on them either) Cheers Ryan
I will try to, Ryan, but I just switched distributions again. Puppy Linux (or Pupeee) now resides on my SSD. JWM is fugly, so I'm going to try to get IceWM on it before I call it a night.
thanks taemos, I'm going to re-install wine on my ubuntu desktop and see if the newest release is any better on linux. Previously it installed fine through wine, but lagged like hell.....
On second look, I have no idea why I offered to do that; I don't own a single Nascar game. Sorry. Puppy Linux is looking and running great, though, after a short GRUB scare. It's funny how it can look almost as good as Vista, and take up a small (and I mean small) fraction of the space.
