Yeah nothing wrong with the review from Amptor's point of view. I wasn't aware he got a v1 ED64. Just sucks that a v2 wasn't reviewed with newest OS.

instead of update the everdrive v1 review they should make a new one for v2, I know I'm gonna do it soon, I've been testing v2 these days.

Does this have working sound outside of that obnoxious music the emulator plays?

    http://www.zophar.net/consoles/n64/gb/gblator-cd64.html
I download the NTSC version, rename it to emu.gb, put it in the ED64 folder...but can't get the games to play but just the emu.gb folder??

    What else am I missing?

Did you use the PAL or NTSC version? I tried it earlier today with the NTSC V64 version from zophar domain and it didn't work. Perhaps you could link to where you downloaded it from.

try to rename emulator to emu.gbc, and rename your roms to ***.gbc also. OS wouldn't recognize .gb by some reasons. but i would not care about gameboy a lot, cuz emulator is pretty poor and without sound.

Make sure you are actually changing the file extensions and not just file names. you have to turn on file extensions to be able to edit them. i got it to work, with gb roms renamed .gbc but have not been able to get a GBC rom to work. i only tried one so far. gamebooster loaded but then shpwed nothing

    Super Mario Star Road

Hey. I have a quick quetion and I'm not too much into the whole technical aspect of the ED64 so I'm just gonna go ahead and ask.

I found this very cool hack of Super Mario 64 called "Super Mario Star Road"
A completely redesigned version of the original game. It looked very cool so I though that it would be great to play on the ED64 but for some reason I just get a black screen when I try to boot it up. Can someone give me a reason why this happens?

Here is the trailer from youtube. You can find the link to the rom in the description.

by the fact, such hacks is not N64 game anymore, they use features which is not present in real n64 hardware, hi res textures, for example, may be something else. so it is emu64 game, and not n64 game :)

If it can't run on original hardware the EverDrive64 can't magically make it run.
