I believe so regarding BC as they state which regions in the BC lists for certain games but I've not tested it myself.
an Unsolved Mysteries style update... the 360 now has cracked gears of war, to go with forza 2. Fuck me, that's $120 wasted. I also don't have a retailer warranty, and never got any red lights. This piece of shit will keep breaking discs I assume, so my only option is to break it futher to get MS to replace it for free. I'll give MS one more console until I give up on them.
You got yours horizontal or vertical ? What I'm finding odd is around the inside ring of the disc tray (where the disc is placed) seems to be something that looks like a copper dust stuff, you can remove it but it takes your fingernail to work it off. Checked my 180's disc tray and there's nothing like that. Odd !
My 360 killed two games sitting horizontally. When I got the new one which also died it didn't scratch any discs. Theres no pad on the DVD drive or anything, so when it wiggles it's getting scratched.
Well well well... I have had my XBOX 360 for around a year and 3 months now and so far so good. No red lights or anything... only a couple of game freezes. I have had it lying horizontal since I have owned it and just last week I decided to move all my systems around. The 360 wouldnt fit in its place anymore so I decided to make it vertical. Now here is my problem! Whenever you press "Open Tray" or click the lil' button on the front of the 360 the tray will get stuck. It makes the noise as if it is trying to move but just stays there. So now I basically have to pry the damn thing out everytime...:crying: Is this a common issue? I sure have never heard of it yet... OH:
