F/S Dreamcast Internal SD Mod

Buying one soon.
What's the biggest sd card size it will handle. ?

 

32GB is the standard most people use but not sure the max, it all depends on the software of Dreamshell.

 

Just sent payment to you for one of these. For some reason there was no option to leave a message about the LED colour. When you see the order it is for the UK, I'm not fussy so whatever colour comes to hands it!!

Just wanted to say the parts arrived today nice and safe. Haven't been able to fit them just yet as I am flying to the USA on the 24th Feb so been doing last minute packing and unpacking and re-packing...

Any change of making something similar for the Saturn?

 

just wanted to pop in and say the 3 kits I bought from Helder arrived.

Now a little naming and shaming of myself - notably I requested these boards over a year ago, forgot about the request, and only got triggered again about it by stumbling upon another google-click-click-click-end-up-here post and shamefully blushing contacted Helder to apologize.

Helder did not have to sell me the parts, and I seriously doubt if I would have done so myself if it was items I was selling if someone came back to me after more than a year.

Very much appreciated Helder, I will do my best to promote your items elsewhere too!

I just bought one not knowing if this was still active. Put whatever LED color you have I'm the guy from Montreal.

By the way, this thing was super easy to install. Super well made. Works like a charm. I feel like buying a couple of these now.

I have about 2 left, well I actually have more than that but the ribbon cables are in limited supply and they are vital to the boards installation and function.

 

Just placed an order. Looking forward to getting and installing it . As for LED color, whatever you want to put on the board is just fine.

 

Do you have the instructions online on how to mount it? Is it solderless?

Actually I have none, I have refunded you. I will have more in 2 weeks as I need more ribbons. So in 2 weeks I will have enough stock for anyone to order one without worry.

Just got it installed, solder connections are nice and clean. Cannot get Dreamshell to recognize any SD cards. Any version in particular I should be using? Also the LED light doesn't illuminate at all.....

 

Might have to switch the LED around and it should only light up when there is Data activity on the SD card so either Reading/Writing. A few pages back there are some recommended SD cards to use, Dreamshell is really picky for SD cards but the older 4.0 Dreamshell is more forgiving on what it accepts.

 

What files do i need on the SD card?

 

I think I had to reverse the LED. I use a class 10 panasonic 8gb card and it works perfectly.
