This game really is incredible. If you've got a PS3 or 360, you owe it to yourself to buy this game. Did anyone else get it?
Talk to me once youve beaten the game, which shouldnt take you long. There are games that are short but satisfying, this isnt one of them. It is too short, and the story just barely gets off the ground.
I got the PC version. Yay modded content! I hear its really short, and you can only level up to level 20, though. Still, the game looks amazing, and I love the look of the power armor. I like how its all made out of junk and scrap metal. BTW, did you ever meet a Deathclaw monster yet Graciano? Oh yeah, you can eat people, too. lol. I was surprised to see that children NPCs were in the game. You can't kill them, of course, but for the PC version, thats just literally one variable you have to change. I can't wait to see what kinds of modded content comes out for this game.
It looks like Oblivion with guns, and I hate Oblivion, so therefore I reject your GOTY vote and go with Gears 2.
I loved Oblivion, to be honest. I think this is also my first FPS RPG I own as well. Action RPG FPS anyway. BTW, go to page #22 in the manual Look at the next to last perk: "Nerd Rage" LOL! I know they put that in there just to piss of No Mutants allowed forum goers. lol For those that don't know, NMA fans are fans that beat their children over the original Fallout games, they're that fanboyish about the originals. Just go there for a minute and read any Fallout 3 thread.
Me: Henners did you like GTA4? Henners: I got bored. Me: Me too. UNLESS you mean the GTA4 me and Gracianno took place in. BTW I forgot about the white rangers sword having a talking tiger on the end of it.
fun fact: saba the talking sword was voiced by the same guy who voiced Goldar. Who was also one of the main writers. Tony Oliver. Went by different aliases for each role though. I didn't so much get bored as much as...well i guess i did get bored.
i'm sure if you stick to the main quests it's a short game. i'm trying to do everything, which is going to take a looong time. i'm almost to level 8 as a good guy. the world is absolutely massive. there's so much to see and do. if it weren't for a few little graphical hiccups here and there it would be a shoo-in. i've yet to meet a deathclaw. i want to kill one so i can make that sweet weapon out of it. imho this has been one of the best years in gaming in my 20 years on planet earth. if you think about all the great games that have come out in 2008.
sorry double post. did you already beat it? how many of the side quests did you do? as far as the main quest goes, i've only played the very first couple of missions. the rest of my time has been exploring and other missions.
Is it that good? I also hated Oblivion. Just not my kinda game. Thinking of just renting Fallout.
hmmm FPS RPG with Securom ? no thank you. The last FPS like RPG I played was Eye Of The Beholder 2, and I still play it now and then. And well, I am playing FRUA´s little RPG called Heirs To Scullcrag at the moment. And well it works as it should.
the last FPS RPG I played was Shinning the Holy Ark III on the Saturn no, I lie, it was Oblivion, but Shinning the Holy Ark III was a kick-ass game and you have to play it
Phantasy Star is kind of cool, for an old OLD game. I might reinstall Morrowind, I bet with the right mods it could look good like Oblivion. I wish the combat wasn't so MISS MISS MISS MISS HIT MISS MISS MISS, repeat for every battle, though.
I did a few side quests inbetween every main section, to keep a steady pace, and to keep myself interested. And the game was still short. Cant see myself going back and playing it for quite a while, which is a shame, because Im not saying its a bad game, just not enough meat to it.
I played it for a while yesterday, and looks incredible. Now with this game and Monster Hunter 2nd G I have no social life XD
I will definitely buy this game. I just need to upgrade my videocard... it is below minimum requirement of a DX10 512mb vga card (I own a 7900GS).
