Well, the mods can see the exact time of the posts so they will tell us who was the closet to Noon. Bids should go up in at least $30 increments so as not to annoy or nickle and dime other users. This isn't the Price is Right TV show. Payment by wire transfer must be done within 24 hours of the auction and money order must be received within 4 days. The user should be prepared to send the money as soon as the auction ends. If payment is not received, it will go to the second highest bidder.

If you are in doubt, don't bid to be on the safe side.

No problem, it wasn't my intention to annoy other users. Just wanted to know how it works.

Donny, with international money order you mean services like Western Union, Moneygram? Would you accept paypal when I pay even the taxes, or is it a absolute no go? Thx

You brought up a good point about the increments that I didn't think of so I added that. International money order is from your bank and mailed. Totally traceable and legit. No Paypal, no exceptions. I will also except bank to bank wire transfers.

Using a Lite-On LTD-165H it's actually possible to dump most games completely. I actually dumped a lot of games this way.

@DonnyK: I offer to help you out via email or chat if you decide to try to check out if a second session header data (ip.bin) is foundable using a standard pc drive (it's better to use a known to be compatible one).

Or you could post at 12 noon to say bids are closed ;-)

I agree that it would suck to be sniped for $1. However, I attend a lot of prestigious auctions and I've never seen an increment of 30. Usually increments of 20 to a set point, then increments of 50, then 100 etc... although you sometimes get increments of 25.

Wire transfers take as long as a cheque takes to clear - here we say up to 5 days. If it were international, it could take a bit longer. I hope you're accounting for that!

For bidders - no need for Western Union, you can do a wire transfer from your bank. Much safer.

Ha! Good point!!! Crap, didn't realize that tomorrow at noon is the cut off!

I pulled the number straight out of my butt.

All my experiences with wire transfers have been within hours. I had one from Europe take a day but not longer. I just want to ensure that the buyer doesn't drag their feet which can happen. Western Union is shady so yeah, bank is much safer.

    $650

I'm not 100% sure my bank account can do an international wire transfer - I think it can. If not I'll send a cheque by express post.

All banks can wire. Not many banks will let you write a cheque in a foreign currency, though! :p

OK OK, we get it. Your auctions have made so much, you're crapping money now!

Probably because PayPal is so full of shit. Anyone who buys something can pretty much get a refund plus the item the bought while the poor sell gets screwed over thanks to this new stupid "Not as described" policy they now have.

    http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=469795&postcount=1 -_-

I was thinking of maybe revising my stance on this with a $700 shipped offer but there may be problems, so my bid probably wont be accepted.

I know I stated I was out earlier but I've had a change of heart. I'm still not so hot it could be a lemon but meh what can you do. It is better to try and fail than not try at all, right? ;)

I was just about to cart my PS3 + TV + games off to cash generator and my mum started to moan (mainly because she uses it to watch films). I said ok you buy it then :p We have agreed to give it a trial run of a) me having life without it and b) her having life with it and c) me using it even when she will own it :p The problem here is although I'll get more in a private sale my mum will not cough up the $393 immediately. Also when she does it would not meet all of my proposed bid. FYI this is the same woman who binned by 6x PAL Dreamcasts with 33k modems, 1x 56k modem and 1x BBA I had hidden in her chest of drawers, albeit some were in pieces!

I did actually start the process of claiming back the $1743.35 the hmrc (IRS to you) have to pay me but I'm having to dance through a lot of hoops and if I am to be successful it may take several weeks with no guarantees. As you are moving and want instant payment it may arrive outside of your need to use it which would be a shame.

I've also instructed my solicitor to chase the $471.60 my personal trainer still owes me (he took $1414.80 off me for sessions, delivered 1/3rd then left the gym...) but whether this will amount to anything any time soon is another question. I chased him last year he produced $565.92. I gave him christmas off but now I'm chasing him again.

A friend of mine may be willing to pay on my behalf though and I pay him back as and when I am able to so it is not all bad. As he is incredibly busy with work and family he doesn't always get time though so ven then may take a few days to get around to doing the transfer even though he will have the money to hand.

Bottom line though is I probably can't pay as fast as you or I would like, but if I cannot, that's tough shit, I can't win or get everything you want, that's life. If you are able to have some maneuverability to wait, great, if not, there is no offence taken, it is my loss and 2nd/3rd highest bidder wins and you still get a pretty penny :p

Yup, California time. It's 9:37am here and I'm getting ready to head to work. Will close it right before I take my lunch.

And sorry Legit, I would love to sell it to you but I just want to get it over with and move on to my other stuff. I already have a lot of unpaid items on eBay that I'm waiting on. I'm sure you are "legit" but I just want to be done with it and that's the reason for the fast payment.

Just asked my friend if he could do the transfer today/tomorrow. Will let you know what he says, he will probably wonder why I want to pay £450 for a game though. FYI my $700 shipped offer is to ship it to ASSEMbler so that he may dump/release it on my behalf (assuming he is up to it then forwards me the GD-R), should save you a little bit on shipping. I won't be a fan of his GD-R replica idea though.
