Thats a cool ashtray with the shape of an original Gameboy you have, there! What's that machine with (at least) three knobs behind the internals of the N64?
@billcosbyman: This above is legendary man, If I had that I'd plug my PS1 right away and go zoooming back to 1999! hehe <3 I'm jealous, this room could be right from the 90s! I love it. I love your TV too, I used to have a little younger one but still boxy, late 80s TV but it died last year. :'(
This is my current setup in my university dorm room. Pretty light on the gaming side of things, but I don't play that much at the moment anyway...
Awesome setup, loved the back light. What model of Logitech speakers are you using? Also, spot on with that N64
Some recent changes to mine. Now have a Commodore 1702 for the SD consoles (SNES, PS1 and Saturn), everything else hooked into the Samsung 32", wires hidden in wall cavity. That's a PSPGo component hookup hanging out the front between XBOX and DVD player: That little commodore display is awesome for the older stuff, I wired a female s-video jack into the "Commodore Video" circuit inside, even with my bad photography the picture from the Saturn is nice and crisp: I know the TV looks dirty, if anyone has an effective solution for cleaning fingerprints of glossy black plastic I'd be glad to hear it.
They're just LED strip with double sided tape on the back, powered by USB. They're all over eBay and the like. I honestly can't remember the speaker model, my mind is telling me Z05. I might be wrong though.
Looks like, no worries, just wondering! I like Logitech speakers, I have the z5450 and they're fantastic.
I miss my old set though, sub blew up Thinking of getting a soundbar for the TV so I don't have to have consoles setup on a switch for the speakers. Systems like the XBOX ONE which is only HDMI, will be able to use the sound from the TV connected to the soundbar. Not sure if soundbars are worth the money.
Why not buy a 2nd hand real surround sound system? They're much better than a sound bar but you do have the issue of cables and stuff. I bought my Sony Dolby Digital / DTS / analogue & digital 5.1 system used for a quarter of the new price. It still looked new and sounds fantastic. I've been using it every day for the last 3 years or so now. I can never go back to standard stereo or even a soundbar now. It's got to be true 3D audio next But only when a wireless system becomes affordable By the way, can you do a short video of your LED set up? I'm really thinking of buying some for my room but would like to know how it looks in motion. Are the lights distracting or do they really offer a good mood setting? I'm thinking of buying a 5 meter RGB cable set. It comes with a remote so that you can change the lighting to suit your mood They're quite cheap to from the likes of Amazon. Here's what I'm talking about.
Quite possibly, but I have a second issue of space. I can't have anything in front of the unit since it will block the draws. Right now the sub is behind the TV, I think the soundbar might be more suited towards the needs. As much as I'd love to have a complete sound system though. My TV also has limited audio connections, I believe I can only use SPDIF. I could but probably wouldn't come out right. But here it is:
Cheers for the video. Yeah, that looks pretty cool. I'm going to take the plunge on some nice led strips.
I'm not too familiar with soundbars, never heard one in person so can't say. They look good for 2.1 setups or space saving if you need, but I'd recommend another Logitech setup or a second hand surround system as Yakumo said. My z5450 for example, has a total of 6 inputs: 2 optical, 1 coaxial, and 1 analogue surround (3 spk connections, which can be used as 3 stereo). I'm not sure if the latest model has HDMI in the receiver, but you can get HDMI into the TV and audio out through optical and through to the receiver maybe.
