I think your Nintendo vendetta is getting childish. Why register on a Nintendo forum if you're just gonna post negative things? That's something 13-year-old console warriors do.

 

Well no I haven't said anything bad. Though I did ask what their take on 3rd parties abandoning ship was.

I totally understand that you are a PS3 Fanboy to the extreme , but you are not hardcore enough to simply enjoy all consoles as they were meant to be.

 

I agree with your point to an extent but VC games are expensive as hell? I see nothing wrong with supporting a Beloved classic for 5 or 6 dollars. Sure, I can easily download the rom and play them on my XBOX, Wii, PSP, DS, and Android SNES Emulator for free, but personally I will pay if it means continued support for classics on new consoles. Not to mention I was able to buy Super Metroid (IMO One of the Greatest games of all time) for .30 cents. I understand SNES9x is superior to VC and I also happen to have a Earthbound cart in good condition but I'll still buy It on VC. Why? Because if you notice, SNES games for some reason feel different on an emulator than actually playing it via cartridge on the SNES (I would know, I happen to have almost 250 SNES loose carts). The VC for some reason, actually feels right because it's Nintendo hardware. It actually feels like playing on the SNES unlike the other emulators. VC may be inferior but at least we get some sort of "Savestate" for it. I see nothing wrong with supporting true classics that never go out of style. This will probably be my 200th time playing Super Metroid and it still never gets old. I cant even name a game this gen that makes me come back to it for more than 2 replays let alone 10 (when I mean replay, I mean actually beating the game and starting fresh all over again). Oh and BTW I'm not just talking about SNES games. Genesis, TurboDuo, NeoGeo also have classics worth owning. The 90's were definitely the best era imo

VC is emulation though. I understand playing it on nintendo hardware feels more "right" but I bet the VC software is taken from Snex9x or similar software. Much like on the Neo Geo X they just used Final Burn Alpha.

Nintendo Fantards do not allow Criticism of Nintendo AT ALL. No Matter how true what you are saying may be (ok maybe Gunpei's Murder is stretching things) it is simply not allowed. This is a bizarre paragraph. You're complaining because PC games on GOG or Steam are "better priced" than games on the VC (or by extension XBLA/PSN, the prices are similar).

I'm sorry, but the basic idea behind the economics here is that this stuff is worth what people are willing to pay for it. I would think that someone on a forum where a member dropping $1000+ on an obscure video game is the norm would grasp this idea. I mean, even when I was a broke college student dropping a (WHOPPING) 5$ every week or so for the latest VC game (if I was interested) wasn't exactly breaking the bank for me. And how can you say something on GOG.com has more value? Since old school games have a ridiculous amount of replayability I can easily put as much time into say, Mega Man 3 as I would into some FPS. As for sales, Nintendo (and XBLA and PSN) also have sales all the time. I just got $30 in eShop credit for registering Fire Emblem and SMTIV. Every month I can buy a VC game using nothing but Club Nintendo points. Every month they also put out a VC game for 30 cents. And not just crappy ones, stuff Super Metroid.

As for the emulator argument, well, stealing a car is certainly cheaper than buying one as well. So congrats. You've answered the age-old riddle of "Is stealing cheaper than paying for something?"

Well, I see how long my being on ignore lasted. Here child, I'll give you a list of LEGITIMATE Nintendo wrongs, not this bizarre crying about VC prices/console power/"3rd party treatment"/"killing Yokoi" business:

1. Forcing digital copies. It's extremely frustrating. They charge the same amount for digital as for physical, so obviously they make more money selling digital, I get that. But the ways they try to force it are infuriating. For one, underproducing Fire Emblem: Awakening to get more digital sales around its launch. That was just bullshit. Then, the promotion where you had to buy a DIGITAL version of a game to get the Donkey Kong version with the pie factory. Again, bullshit. I had a game off that list, but not the digital version, so no DK for me unless I bought a digital copy of a game with a physical release. Stuff like this pisses me off to no end.

2. The way they treat gamers outside of Japan is disgusting. We had to go through that Project Rainfall business just so Nintendo would let other companies publish Xenoblade Chronicles, Last Story, and Pandora's Tower. And Nintendo never brought Fatal Frame 4 over here despite the previous 3 games being localized. Bullshit. And then you have the whole Mother issue which is just fucking retarded. It's nice that we got Earthbound on the VC, but there are two other games in the series Nintendo, and Earthbound Zero's localization was finished IIRC. They could redeem themselves here, but I think we all know they won't. And it's not like this stuff wouldn't sell, there is clearly a fanbase for it, Nintendo is just fucking stupid about it.

3. Iterations of systems. It just happens too much with the handhelds. I think this issue is going to kill their next handheld though. Since they caved and made the 3DS XL after saying they were happy with the 3DS, I doubt many people buy the next Nintendo handheld at launch because this time everyone WILL wait for the next iteration.

4. Why the fuck aren't all my accounts linked into one account? I have $200+ in my 3DS eShop and I can't spend a cent of it on the Wii U eShop. Why? What is the fucking point of this?

5. Region locking. I understand the reasons, but Nintendo handhelds lacked it up until the DSi. Why bring it in now? Idiocy. I want Recca too dammit! (though that likely falls more under point 2).

I'm sure I've got some more beefs with Nintendo, but that's all I got right now.

Overall though, the 3DS is my favorite system since the Dreamcast and really, Nintendo treats their fans right with Club Nintendo stuff. And if you like Nintendo games, well, Nintendo makes great Nintendo games. If you don't, then that's you, but personally, I really enjoy the games Nintendo make regardless of if it's the 23rd entry in a franchise, and that's all that really matters to me.

Oh, and Nintendo easily has hands down the best customer support of the big three, by a fucking mile.

No talk of Gunpei being murdered I can say that here, you all know I'm crazy. These people don't.

ANd I don't see what so bizzare about VC titles being too expensive. Earthbound being $10 ok yeah it's indemand might be a guage to see if Earthbound 2 might be a viable future release. But $5 NES games...when there are PSN PSone classics for the same amount. Something is wrong there. Some people just don't know that they are being ripped off.
