Got an PSV DEV Kit

So seems I can't run cart games, well that sucks.

 

Oh………that is pitty, Maybe I will try to find a test kit and see if I can do some trick with it. If I can get one………

After you run henkaku, you can't run catarage game, unless you reboot the dev kit

 

The kit thinks its active but its not, I can't actually run anything and if I try and load a game via neighborhood it gives me an error that tells me its not activated.
My expiration date page in the debug settings is also completely blank.

 

You are trying to loading game from neighborhood？

 

It was just to test if the kit was really activated or not, so far its not even tho neighborhood seems to think it is.
Im thinking about wiping the kit and trying the process again.

 

It just a trick to bypass the activation to let you run game and henkaku so do not expect too much.

 

It doesn't run my cart games either and I always could run henkaku so thats not new on my end.
going to do a factory reset and see what happens :/

No it was C1-7072-2, it the one that you get when the kit is not activated plus neighborhood itself told me it wasn't activated when I tried to use one of its functions to load a game from PC.

 

just un plug all the cable stright away and power it on and then connect to the pc and refresh in neighbourhood, I got the same problem before

 

On your kit If you fully unplug everything then plug in just the power and turn it on does it say its expired? mine does, if I reboot it then the red expired text goes away like it used to which in itself is a weird glitch, that might be causing a problem? IDK

 

Your pc must disconnect from the internet and set time to 2009,same as the dev kit. I suggeat that you should check the time on both pc and dev kit, if dev kit has a correct time, I suggest do it again from the begining

Have you try to use the network adapter to let test kit connect to the computer?

 

So yea it didn't work, im thinking it was because your kit was actually activated so all it did was "remind it" while mine was definitely not activated so while the PC side says it is the system itself knows its not.

 

I think your kits must be activated at least once, if you set a earlier time it will work, I will get another dev kits very soon, I will try do the same trick on that kits and see if it will work

Just got another dev kit, and some accessories, I'm now trying to do the same trick on the new one

Confirmed both DEV kit can use the trick to bypass and run both catarage game and henkaku, and also it can transfer any content through the lan adaper

in Your PS Vita dev kits have the firmware 3.60? Henkaku taihen works? You could dump the These two folders NPXS10015 Settings NPXS10103 APP_HOME thanks I would also app NPXS10031 Package Installer

 

Guess the kits really do need to have been activated and not have been wiped since that last activation? Oh well im out of luck then.
Question, Was that second kit still activated when you did that or was it expired?

 

The second was expire long time ago(2012-2013) and I am sure there are no activation file in this machine, I still think yours can also use the tricks.

 

As long as it was not wiped since that last activation is what I think is causing this, On my PDEL neighborhood thinks its activated till 2019 but the system itself doesn't show a expiration date in the debug settings, its just blank.
So story here is only buy kits that have not been wiped till we can figure out how to activate them
