put up a willing to buy also even with a psvita dev kit there is no guarantee it won't be wiped which jf it is wiped u still wont be able to activate only get rid of the red text etc sure you can ask but if it was that easy to find a kit that hasn't been wiped or currently activated members who been here for awhile would of already been buying them
hehehe, I had this idea too, but we'd need to find which URLs it uses for NTP, and we should be able to spoof it from there. This doesn't include setting up a fake NTP server, which is another task entirely.
probability with a fake network time protocol falsifies the time and date of PS Vita test kit or dev kit so I can provide activation 3 years just how do I do this I need a tool
An NTP server can be created, however we would need a custom DNS server to redirect to it. We would also need to find out what URLs Sony uses for NTP (probably something like ntp.sony.com or time.sony.com in the US, assuming they use their own servers). It's theoretically possible. It's a lot of effort and may not be worth it for something that probably won't work. If someone could verify if my understanding is correct, that would be great. Also, I don't mean to sound rude, but could you please use sentences? It took me a while to understand this
Setting up a DNS server is easy, as is setting up an ntp server. To get the address Sony uses, could probably use Wireshark (or some tools on a router running any custom firmware). Anyone with a unit could probably test all this in under an hour with little experience.
I did try Wireshark, but I could only pick up SSDP packets from the kit. Not sure what I'm doing wrong
Today I got the ethernet adapter testing kit limited and working, but LAN connection I I was thinking being able to reactivate my test kit but I have not achieved anything
Give up In your case specifically, give up until someone makes an activation patch or until we figure another method out.
Damn this guy is ignorant, what is told to be technically impossible. is impossible come back in 2025, maybe we have method to activate it by then Unless you're sony, then its possible
If you could sniff the packets going through a bridge though ethernet and let us know which IP the vita tries to broadcast to when you request the date to be set automatically, that would be great
You don't understand, It is not that we aren't looking its just at the moment it just not possible and yes we have explained to him why and why his idea wont work yet refuses to listen. Had I a PTEL I could try some stuff but I do not nor have the money for one so people will just need to wait :/ Unless someone is willing to take theirs apart
When I took my PDEL apart I stumbled on most of the process to activating those kits so I figure maybe if I rip open a PTEL I can get it to do something. I figured out that you could reset the RTC and have the expired message go away and Yin added the connecting to neighborhood while the RTC batt is out would cause the kit to appear as active on the PC side. But he did have to figure out all the steps on his own since I only posted about the PDEL in the chatbox. BTW my assumption is we don't need neighborhood to re-activate an expired kit that still has its last key. If you want to help mind trying disconnection the internal battery on your PTEL? then try powering the system with only the charger, after that take the whole thing apart, what about it is different to a retail system? any notable extras?
I did the battery reset trick that I believe was PS button, power button and maybe a few others. It said "Cannot check expiration date. Please set via internet." I believe someone already took it apart and said that it is identical to a retail kit. It doesn't contain any extra debug hardware.
