Third round of shipments have gone out. I've had a few hiccups in the midwest with slower shipping times for some reason and a few no shows going across the border. I'm going to require that shipping now include some form of tracking and/or upgrade from first class mail to priority mail for certain areas. These are too expensive to lose because of a crappy sorting facility.

Where do we stand on this now? As you're moving away from the group buy model towards sales, I think this really needs a new thread starting, with a validation photo.

I'll do just that shortly, this thread can be locked but it would be in our best interests to take a few posts and push them into their own thread (compatibility and installation notes).

That can be done - either copy them and paste into a new thread, quote them in a new thread (might be a bit tricky to read) or they can be moved if you let me know which posts.

    Better still, use the wiki!

I've not finalized things on the modchip wiki yet - to be fair, there's a lot I needed to sort out to get things standardized. I'll probably change things around, but for now, you can put it here:

    http://wiki.assemblergames.com/doku.php?id=saturn_modchip

Refer to the DokuWiki syntax, ASSEMbler wiki standards.

If you want to have a play and get a feel for DokuWiki, as well as an idea of a template (albeit not for modchips), see the sandbox I created. Play with that, if you like! You can then paste the code into the code for the proper URL.

Hey guys, sorta a Saturn noob (weren't many around my area when they were released). This is a V1 that doesn't need any changes to the chip, correct?

I'm getting the audio cd screen. Originals are playing fine. The backup I made is playing through emulator on PC via CD (not ISO), so burn should be good. Also tried different backup with different media, same deal. Started lowering pot, but don't want to go too far. Bad laser? Also the pot was originally at 640, is that a sign it's been tweaked before? Haven't found values, although I know pots are all over the place.

Looks like it's the laser. Brought it down, then back up to 446 where it seems happy (until it croaks more).
