Chips have arrived. I'd like to request this thread locked so I can start a new one later to sell the remaining stock. Everyone's requests are currently valid until Sunday at midnight.

You should define that a little better, as this is a thread for a product for sale. We tested it in all the types of console we had available and it worked in them all.

Saying it's not looking good so far is just going to worry people. Either clarify what's "not looking good" or don't post until you have completed what ever testing you are doing it.

On the 7404, pins 8 and 9 are unused. Sanyo drives? no.

Yeah, I can kinda see why people say you have an attitude problem now.

The important question is, does the chip still work on JVC drives with the sanyo fixed applied, or will it require another "mode" to the chip in a later PCB revision.

You could lift pin 10, solder to pin 9, then run the wire from pin 8 to the pad of pin 10. This will give you a "proper" fix, so you can still use the jumper pads. Would be interested to know if this works for the JVC drives still.

Great, looks like I have a JVC 21-pin. Thanks for the testing!

Everyone who has already paid me has had their chips sent out today. For domestic it should be a week at most. For international it could take up to three or maybe four depending on your postal system. I don't have tracking numbers but I do have receipts showing I mailed packages out.

Saw your lock request - I think perhaps it might be best to leave the thread open for discussion for a little longer (in case someone wants to ask a general question that someone else could perhaps answer instead of PMing you).

As for the rules on the group buy - yeah, tricky one. They say all sales need a set price, which you have. Technically, a group buy is buying something in bulk without profit - which you did for the initial part. After that, it becomes a sale - you're rightly starting that afresh.

The only area that's a little grey in my mind is pictures. Obviously, it's rather hard to take a picture of something you don't have yet! ;-) And the other thing would be mentioning what warranty the items have and how that's dealt with.

Anyway, I'll leave this thread open a little longer, unless you really want it locked now. Don't forget a validation pic in your forthcoming sale thread! :)

I haven't see any posts related to the stragglers who put their name down for a chip. Also didn't get a reply to my pm. What's the word on them?

I'll open another thread later, when you see that feel free to lock this however we should probably pull the useful information from this thread over there so people don't have to go digging through all of this for it. Post copy verbatim that is.

I do have one rather bad picture but you can clearly see I have the goods:

And yes this time around I am making a small profit that probably evens out with the time spent doing all of the packaging and shipping (first round took an hour total).

    You've got a PM.
