Second batch will be ordered not earlier than 2 months from now.
But as I've said before, there will be some amount of switches to buy from the first batch, keep following this topic and retrorgb Twitter/Facebook.

Yup, I caught the part about there being some extra, and I'm going to try like hell to get one, it just seems like the demand far outstrips the supply, so whoever gets those will be lucky! Thanks for the info!

I am interested in one of these as well. I'll watch the thread, anything else I should do?

    Thanks

Keep an eye at Retrorgb.com as well. He is the distributor. Follow his site, on facebook or on twitter. The feeds are all the same.

Update: PCB manufacturing and assembly has been ordered.
Cases are finished and I'll get them on Saturday, everything else is already here waiting to be soldered and assembled.
    Will keep you posted.

JP21: The main problem is JP21 male-to-male cable. I contacted retrogamingcables.co.uk and asked if they could produce them but my offer was turned down.

This could be me being a thicko here, but I'll ask anyway - are these the switches that have been ordered through Retro RGB most recently? If so I'm mega excited! Thanks.

I may ask her as well.
But personally I've never seen a proper SCART cable. VGA like cables should be used for video part and audio signals should be separated. I even thought about ordering custom cables but that sounds too complicated at the moment.

They may have turned you down because they have shown interest in creating a scart switch for sale themselves. I'm not saying that's for certain why, but it could've contributed to the response. I agree with lilralphie, retro_console_accessories might be more receptive to the idea.

As far as I can see they don't do anything but cables. And cables are just connector solder and wires. Switch requires more effort.

They did send an email out a few months ago asking about public interest towards a scart switch, and they asked about how many inputs people would like to see if they were to make such a switch. I think I'm signed up to their newsletters or something.

I would also recommend retro_console_accessories. All of my cables came from her and they all work great.

The email was titled SCART Switch, dated October 23, 2015.

"If you could have just one SCART switch how many inputs would it handle? This is just a survey to see what the average number of retro consoles gamers use. Thank you for your assistance!"

    Best regards
