I'll be another to vouch for retro_console_accessories, all my JP21 cables are from her and they work great. She has scart-to-scart cables on her eBay page; with the regular cabling and with multicore coax. You can ask her to make a JP21 and it shouldn't be a problem, she does custom orders.

Interesting, why not to ask how many consoles owned :)

I've sent retro_console_accessories a message, waiting for the response.
Plexiglass panels arrived today, everything is here except PCBs.

I apologize if this question has already been answered, but is an 8 pin mini DIN output for XRGB Mini users still being considered for a later version? Or is there not room/cost to spare in the most recent design?

Unfortunately no. That connector was pain in the ass to use as it was too high comparing to other board elements. And it's use was limited only to XRGB. Apart from it I had to provide MiniDIN->SCART cable anyways, so no MiniDIN - no problems.

Understandable. Further, what exactly does the Integrated DC Restore Circuit do? Is it just an attempt to clean up sync from problematic consoles? Also, when you say the automatic switching is based on composite detection, are you referring to composite video? Would luma or composite sync work if those are used for sync in the cable?

Well, DC restore restores sync DC level. Simply said it fixes some non-standard signal, it doesn't clean sync, EL1883 does.
Automatic switching is based on anything fed to SCART composite pin. Any signal that carries sync will be detected.

As far the XRGB Mini goes I reckon this should work flawlessly. I have a Bandridge button operated switcher that (after a trace cut as shown on the Shmups! forum to isolate all sockets) works perfectly. And the GSCART is bound to be better. I've had some dufffers though.

That Hama unit is good, I have one but I just could not get a fully compatible sync with every console I had connected to my Mini through it. Your mileage may vary of course.

LOL, that "device" simply connects all pins together. There is no logic at all.
You turn on your SNES and it powers on your Genesis :)
It worth only for SCART sockets sourcing.

It did have some weird issues like that, but it's the only one I've got to work so far! Still waiting for the good stuff though! Can't wait.

superg, Saw that you mentioned having a few extra for sale with this batch beyond the preorder any updates on when those would be released for sale? I really need to get my hands on a decent switcher to finish up my game room.

Yes, I would love to order one of these :) In the meantime I have no way to utilize my monitor, and it seems like a waste to buy a cheaper one if I'm going to end up getting rid of it when these pop back up for sale. Plus most people here in the US at electronics stores have zero idea what scart even is...

Follow RetroRGB on Twitter & Facebook. superg doesn't sell them himself at this point.

    https://www.facebook.com/RetroRGB/

There is also a link for RetroRGB's preorder page in the OP:
If you have questions regarding ordering and availability, I'd suggest contacting RetroRGB directly.

On a quick glance: No VGA out, no separate audio out, doesn’t strip Sync.

What is meant by professional anyways? :)
Looks like some manual switch, never seen that one before but plenty of those manual things around. Kinda defeats a purpose of a switch in the first place. It's supposed to be automatic because I don't want to push buttons.
Speaking of switches, I've got SELECTY21 here - it's 100% manual passive JP21 switch with 3 inputs and confusing selection buttons. It's $120 so I guess I should consider mine as a professional one! ;)
Oh, and update on the current batch:
Got email from my manufacturer that PCB's are fabricated. They are waiting for all components to arrive to start assembly.

"Professional" switches are fine, but sometimes it's nice to have one that does what you need "un-manned".
