I haven't seen the American version yet, I forgot they were coming out with one. I've tried watching the Aussie one, its not bad, I just have a hell of a time understanding them and Aussie's seem to have cars that no-one else in the WORLD has. I didn't know there was a Russian version, would be interested in watching it if I could find it in sub-titles . . . -Disjaukfia
Other Top Gear???? There is no other unless you mean some car show using the Top Gear name  the thing that makes the UK show the best is the chemestry between the presenters. I've seen the US Top Gear and like all things the US take from the UK and remake, its awful. They should make their own original car show in the style they see fit. That way it may turn out to be a better show. By the way, there's also German Stig who was also dressed in white.
Wasn't the Big Rig Stig in a white suit as well, but he had a tanned right arm from where it was hanging out his window? -Disjaukifa
Red Stig was in the premiere episode of season 12 in the intro for what was going to happen in that season and looked like it was suppose to be for the test laps for the motorbikes that the three host bought, but that footage was never shown to the best of my knowledge . . . . -Disjaukifa
Really? That would be awful, I love the Stig . . . I think that would be a mistake, the show would still be good and people would watch it, but I think they would bring the Stig back, too many people love the various Stigs. -Disjaukifa
Red Stig (The Stig's Communist Cousin) appears in a deleted challenge on the Vietnam Special DVD iirc. Been awhile since I watched mine but I believe he drove each of the hosts' bikes at them to test their stopping distance.
It seems that a new stig will be incoming, http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/stig-farm-exclusive-2010-11-5 Ah i shall have a look for the dvd versions of the specials.
Just watched the latest Top Gear. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it that are going but it was great.
Why oh why do I have to be away from home when the new season of Top Gear starts! I'll have to wait until Thursday night before I can download it from UK_Nova. At least I'll have something cool to watch on Christmas day while the wife is in work and my son is playing with his presents. Yep, Christmas in Japan is a load of crap.
Yakumo, don't you use a VPN along with tvcatchup.com??? BTW, you said "like all things the US take from the UK and remake, its awful." and A. Snow replied Shelby Cobra. Yes he meant the car, as in the AC (British company) Cobra, made by Shelby (US company). He's trying to say that's an example of something good they've taken from the UK. However, it was a poor example as it was joint produced by the two companies, not "made better" by Shelby. In fact, all they did was add an engine that was made by Ford, basically! Yesterday's Top Gear was good... although I can't believe how hard they made the last part of their challenge seem!
Yeah, that's what I thought he ment. Nah, I don't use a VPN. It's better for me to download tje shows. A one hour show like Topgear in HD will only take about 10 minutes at most to download and then i can keep it on my HD. I guess if I was in korea it would only take a minute.
Yeah, but you could use iPlayer too! I agree that Top Gear you might want to keep, but I'm sure there are other things you'd rather just watch... and you can do so instantaneously without having to wait for the download. Tvcatchup.com, by the way, is live Freeview - you can watch all the BBC and ITV channels, Channel 4, Channel 5, Dave, Sky 3 etc. as they're being broadcast. Only problem is the time difference means Top Gear for example would be at stupid o'clock in the morning!! Overplay is a decent service - VPNs all over the World (so you can stream US TV as well if you fancy rotting your brain!!), decent price and as you pay by PayPal, you can cancel at any time and resubscribe at any time.
My wife and I watched it last night and it was awesome. We also started watching Top Gear US and its not the same as the BBC version and we both love the BBC version, but we both liked the US as well, its different. When we had tried watching Top Gear Australia it felt like the 3 presenters were a direct replacement of the BBC Top Gear guys which was horrible, it was nice to see that is not the case with Top Gear US. Can't wait for more BBC Top Gear . . . the original . . . the best! -Disjaukifa
