Normally I'm pretty damn adept at understanding accents and deciphering UK-speak, but he had a few sentences that were just completely undecipherable by my feeble brain, especially if he was laughing. Of course, iPlayer doesn't work for me either. Yakumo, have you tried (dare I suggest) downloading the iPlayer application, then downloading the episode for it? It would be unlikely, but pretty silly if that worked. Though then you'd have to have that app, and I doubt it's a fun one.
Forward some license fee money to the BBC and they might let you. Seriously though, check out thebox.bz and uknova, the former especially has absolutely tons of UK TV both new and old. Pretty much everything is on there, even the day time crap like 'old tat out of the attic' etc.
Don't worry. There are people in the UK who probably couldn't understand him perfectly. Even though I'm from Liverpool like John Bishop, my accent is no-where near as strong as his. no point really. I can get everything I want to watch from UK Nova within 24 hours of UK broadcasting time. The quality is far better than iPlayer as well since you can get HD contents. They won't. I watch BBC's Click program (a tech show for adults) every week. They once addressed this issue of people using proxy servers to access iPlayer and what not. Even if you do pay a license fee, that only covers you to watch BBC in the UK. Due to copyright laws and so on, technically you are steeling contents when you watch any BBC show in another country. However they didn't say don't do it , hahahaha. I like Click in that respect. They understand the frustration of users but being a BBC show they have to point you in the right direction, so to speak.
Have the current cast ever done Gumball 3000? I don't really watch top gear (past 7 or so seasons sporadically) But I imagine Gumball with them would be hilarious.
What is Gumball 3000? Some sort of crazy car race? If so then yes, with them 3 it would be funny
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gumball_3000 The jackass crew did it back in 2001 and it was in their 2002 season. Was quite hilarious!
I used to watch Top Gear. Fuck Top Gear. Fuck them into orbit, with a huge rocket. Fuck them SO much. /Lazy Mexicans my ass.
Yeah, that was a joke. It's not to be taken seriously. People slag off nations all the time. True, what they said wasn't cool at all but they did give public apologies in the British press. Not sure about the Mexican press though. Yakumo
Top Gear in the Gumball just never occured to me until I saw them in the same sentence. That would be awesome.
I watched the first new EP last week and couldn't wait for it to end. I watched the new ep last night, twice in fact and still not sure what happened (I probably got distracted) but it appears to me that they are running out of steam, which is a shame.
I think the Beeb would come under fire if they actually took part, as most of their "challenges" are just complete set-ups from start to finish. Everything is edited to look interesting. I can't remember the last time I actually saw a review of a car on that program, that didn't involve a stupid gimmick.
At least they do a good job at it. Just look at the shite known as Fifth Gear. Oh and how about Channel 5's gadget Show. man, that is pathetic. Anyway, I enjoyed last nights show. Of course the challenges are set ups. You'd be an idiot to think otherwise. 90% of the stuff on TV is a set up and 100% of the shit on Japanese TV is a set up that's so badly set up it hurts just watching it. I'll finish with THE GROWLER
I think Top Gear actually, positively, really did hit absolute rock bottom last night when they were trying to feign ignorance of the happening of the Monaco Grand Prix. It was so ball-squeezingly excruciating to watch what was easily the worst scripted bit of television outside of an episode of Diagnosis Murder that I just sat there, staring at the screen agog. It's time for either a complete rethink or just knock it on the head before the name gets sullied even further (if that's even remotely possible).
What? You mean you watch Top Gear for a good script? Honestly people, it's a show about cars. You are not meant to believe that the story "plots" are real. It's just a way to move from one section of car driving to another. Yakumo
