Where does it say Hira? =p There is Katakana, both リリース and バイオハザード. I honestly wouldn't know what to expect a disc to have written on it
I'm starting to wonder. Not to sound too certain, but that text feels like it could have been generated by an online translator... :X Pics would really help, there's really no reason why we can't have them at this point.
I did an experiment with Google translator. Check this out. I guessed that that Japanese may have been translated from English saying "pushing on the edge of the biohazard sequel proposed by capcom:. Type that into Google translator and look what comes out: "カプコンによって提案されたバイオハザードの続編のリリースの端に押し" Not perfect, but close, can't figure out how to make it so Biohazard is instead the last word. But in any case, is the phrase "pushing on the edge of" ever said that literally in Japanese? If not, then this indeed does seem a little suspicious... :x Of course, benefit of the doubt and all that, but it's not often you can get Google to translate something so accurately into what you were expecting. Edit: typing this into Google brings up the exact same Japanese: "the biohazard pushing on the edge of the release of the sequel proposed by capcom" Doesn't necessarily prove anything at this point. We definitely require pics at this point, no two ways about it.
Very interesting, fingers crossed on this one. very cool if this pans out. as a side note, my powers out. this is exciting watching this on my phone.
Photo was really hesitant to load this photo up. doing it for translation. maybe i started the sentence from the wrong place, but it sort of wraps around the disk, so its pretty obvious where to start reading from. unless the japanese read things backwards I dont know jack all about japanese, so it could say anything
Heh, well you were right after all. That is exactly what's written on the disc. The プ in Capcom(カプコム) though is missing the handakuten mark oddly(the little circle to the top right), but besides that it looks written pretty well. Now to go even further, since you say it works in an emulator but with no sound, that must mean you can take shots from the emu for us, right? That can go a long way in helping you determine if you've got something here or not And nope, no info about what version of the game it is. Well, besides the fact it's clearly the sequel.
Trying to get a emu to run on mac, im gonna install parallels and windows to the mac and see if it will run pcsx, mabye if i can find my bleemcast disks i can run it on the DC!!
The sequel with a different playable character, well no matter what, im gonna rip this for myself after it sells
I'm just a little confused since you say it works on your PC but with no sound. You could only know if it has no sound if you were using it in an emulator, which means you can already play it on your PC, right?
at the time i tested it, which was in 2005, i had a PC, but for the last few years Ive used Apple Macs.
Ah I see. BTW, what KH2K4 meant was he wants you to download a program that's called isobuster, and in that program there should be an option that lets you output a text file that shows all the contents on the disc. I guess he wants to compare that with what's on other available copies of the game to determine how different it is
Sorry if we are asking so much, but there have been many misinterpretations of this beta in the past.
