How do mean the characters are in the wrong direction I followed it around be unspinning it, do you mean back to front as in Japanese?

Unfortunately, you only flipped the "カプコンに" part - now it's all upside-down!
If you invert it then mirror the image, it'll read correctly, but still needs to have the "端を押しバイオハザード" part added at the very end.

The Japanese text on page 2 of this thread appears to match that written on the disc itself. Apart from being a bit unusually worded (even by Japanese standards), it doesn't seem to contain any further clues as to the disc's origin.

Also, i bid just for the heck of it lol. I've got my doubts, but someone else will inevitably bid anyway and I don't intend to go further The fact the disc doesn't work in a disc drive though already sounds a bit alarming.

About Bleem on the DC, are you sure you're not just hearing things? I can't count the amount of times my mind expects sound when there is none on say, a video or something, and I end up hearing something that isn't there.

 

Ok thanks for that, do you know of any decent software for Kanji /Katakana OCR though? only one I know is http://maggie.ocrgrid.org/nhocr/ but the pictures need to near crystal clear quality.

 

Its deffinate sound from bleem, got abit further just before, Got passed the flashy capcom screen and to the biohazard 2 screen before it locked up again.

You should snap a shot of the title if you can, since I'm assuming there's something there that gives away if it's an earlier version or not.

Yes the Biohazard 1.5 title screen has a different eye, plus not styled fonts (Not confirmed).

 

The eyeball for the title screen should be different to retail version. Should also say 1997 instead of 1998.

 

Well i got the second disk to almost work, its a text document titled " Sir Clive Sinclair, Thank-you" but it wont open on the mac, but its rather large for a document, being just over 17mb

I just googled clive sinclair and its some inventor guy, the title screen didnt say trial edition either, just biohazard 2 with the voice over.

A friend of mine in the UK just said that Sir Clive Sinclair used to do the occasional reviews of games and consoles for EDGE magazine, but i cant find any info on that.

The 1.5 version shouldn't say trial edition. Now we are getting somewhere does it have the trial edition eye?

i tried to check the differences in the eye, but now the capcom screen loads and flies around, then it locks up just before the word comes together and i get sound freeze, just scared the shit outta myself because i has the TV volume up to full and switched back to TV haha

 

Next chance you get, definitely try to take a pic so we don't have to keep pestering you with questions which require you to try to get the title to come up again =p

 

Can you take a picture from a camera phone or something? Sounds like we are getting somewhere too.

 

Pop the disk in your computer and take a picture of the directories.
