Best I ever had was Kasteel Rouge, a Belgium ale with 1/4 cherry soaked brandy. Amazing. Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA is great. Also, Old Perculier.
i love beer. my favorites: franziskaner weiss/dunkel erdinger weiss/pikantus lowenbrau triumphator/original hoegardeen asahi +lots of more commercial ones italian and not.
I hear Czech beer is the best in the world For me Yin Ling (when I can get it) and Sam Adams. Bud Light IF that's all they have.
Is that some sort of Chinese brand equivalent of Yuengling? Yuengling isn't bad. Plus their brewery is about 5 miles away from my parents house and they give free samples everytime I stop in.
For regular (read cheaper) drinking, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for me. Kirin lager is kinda nice. Also Rogue's Dead Guy Ale, and Newcastle are tasty. Really any Wheat beers or anything super hoppy.
I got a case of Sam Adams Noble Hops (limited edition) today. It is brewed with all 5 noble hop varieties. Delicious! I also consider Sam Adams to have a very good (Boston) Lager. Sierra Nevada brew a nice IPA and if you like hoppy ale, their Torpedo brew is pretty nice (very strong). The Canadian brewery Unibroue do some excellent beers. They are expensive, but wonderful.
How weird. In this country G&T (that's Gin and Tonic, yeah?) is considered a women's drink. Re: beer, any 5% lager is usually ok with me. Carlsberg Export is the only one I avoid, on account of it tasting like watery Special Brew. Which is probably exactly what it is.
I wasn't sure how to spell it. That is an amazing beer and as I understand, it's the cheap beer down there.
Yeah it's dirt cheap. Like $15.00 for an entire case. The spelling still throws me off as I usually can't get the ue part right consistently and I see it far more frequently than you. Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to pick some up next time I'm out.
Hmmm I got the name wifebeater to a G and T from a Scotsman , so if any one thinks it is a drink not deserved as a wifebeater. Hey that is fine by me. Cause I do not care, and all the beer I have been tasting over the years has still that bitter after taste . So that is another reason I prefer the spirits. And well Tuborg and Carsberg are perhaps the standard of some people think is Danish beer, but there are many others, such as Red Tuborg which is a special beer only made over a period every year. But Shit, most of that is just Piss (sorry I mean Pilsner) there are tons of micro breweries here too, hell my mother is a member of The Danish Beer Enthusiasts . Heck there is even Faxe beer as one German has mentioned, where I prefer their sports water named Faxe kondi. There are even Harbroe Beer, so some one who has a grudge on either Danish beer, me or something , should pack their fucking habengut (Danish expression about their luggage and what not) and get the hell moving. Cause I am here to read the good posts about what beer people like. Not make sour grapes.
Yeah, over in the USA, G&T is considered to be a flashy sophisticated drink. You'll get 'cool guys' ordering it. It always makes me laugh. Not only is it ladies in the UK, it's usually Little Old Ladies....
