Another WDK rant (at nothing and nobody) for the vault.

I, uh, I quite like G&T. It's about the only mixer for gin I enjoy. That said I wouldn't order one in a pub, be liable to get a kicking come closing ;)

Gin has an odd flavour for me.

Vodka seems harmless, maybe because I'm so used to it. 90% of my drinking is cheap vodka mixed in something tasty. Usually 1:2 Vodka:juice.

I do love Czech beer. I think I'll get some tomorrow night.

Don't they say that cheap vodka gives you hangovers?? or much more worse hangovers than pure, clean vodka?

Usually said by people trying to sell you expensive vodka :) .. to be brutally honest you drink enough and it kicks you in the ass whatever the so called quality.

Gotta feel sorry for East Asian people tho cos apparently a lot of them are already genetically predispositioned to getting killer hangovers.

This is possible. I generally drink quite a bit when I drink and don't get that much of a hangover. I think it's the sugar.

I've found that if I mix vodka with sports drinks/"healthy things", I wake up like a normal, non-alcoholic, human being.

Suspended solids in cheap alcohol is what gives you the bad hangover. The expensive stuff is better filtered -> less hangover.

Don't get me wrong, each to their own. It's the comparison of cultures that makes me laugh. There are a lot of things like that between the UK and US.

strangely, back in the past I hated Gin as much as you probably just could imagine, but in the past few years I learned to like it more than any other alcoholic liquors.

Pure Gin isn't the hit, but you can do so much with it.

Recently I haven't been drinking much however the other day I had a 500ml can of 6% beer (Very tasty) and a 350ml can of 8% Chu-Hi. The next day I felt like shit. banging head and everything. Why???? I normally drink far more than this withought feeling as bad. Could it be related to lack of sleep? Or is is actually possible to become weak against booze?

Could be anything Yakumo, from lack of sleep, lack of water, poor diet prior to drinking. Im usually hangover free, but I know if I get up even an hour or so too early, Im screwed for most of the day. An hour makes a difference.

I just drink some water before bed. No hangover the next morning. Easy!

First time I have ever heard a G&T called a wife beater and I am Scottish. Frankly, I guess anyone can call anything any old random name they like and state it as a commonly known fact back where they come from.

In fact, if you look up "Wife Beater drink" in Google it oddly throws up (pardon the pun) Stella Artois, which is again the first time I have ever heard (read) that.

My goodness, where do you find the energy to get so angry whenever someone says something about Denmark?

I went to Legoland (Bilund) once and was bored rigid! I know, I know, go pack my fucking habengut, I'm going! ;-)

    (Kidding WDK - chill dude!)

Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, cherry coke of beers, and any of the Sam Adams Seasonal Brews are great.

Switch Kirin Classic Larger with Yebisu, get Enjuku the hell off that list (hapushu is not beer! I still drink it, since I'm cheap, but it's definitely not beer) and I agree with you. Kirin is great, but after a dozen adventures in the beer gardens at the Yebisu Beer Museum in Ebisu (where else!?!), I'm absolutely in love with Ebisu.

I don't actually mind Asahi at all, but Ebisu and Kirin are definitely at the top for me.
