Well I was going to get a Vasectomy anyway, might as well just ask them to take them out while they are tying the tubes... a life on hormone tablets is a small price to pay for being able to play PSP games on a monitor... or I could just buy that TV adaptor for £60-odd...
I'm curious as to how you've got UMD discs to play on it? I thought these PSP kits had DVD drives, which is then emulated as a UMD?? I guess it has a UMD slot in the PSP controller, or is it in the unit somewhere?
No, there's nothing on the controller (it's just an LCD screen and buttons), but if you look closeley at the little computer, you will see there's a UMD drive at the very top. The DVD drive is mounted below it sideways, so it will work with both. You need a 'replication' image on the DVD to make it play that...
Well, I traded for mine, but the seller was asking £400 ($800) for the test version, which I think is pretty reasonable considering how hard they are to find. I've tested the DVD out and it is also working perfectly well. The review build just started automatically, no need to send specific codes or anything. It really just operates like a standard PSP other than obviously it has a long umbilical cord to the mini tower and it has all of it's functions built into that.
I'm soooooooo jealous!!! I'd love to have a toy like that, but my wife isn't even that happy with me owning a PSP!!! lol! :banghead:
Let me introduce you to one of my solicitors lol ;-) Nah, my wife is pretty cool about it really. We have had our moments and I must admit my intake has seriously slowed down. I also try to find units that need a fair amount of repair work on them and are therefore much cheaper. However, the Test was a lucky find and I did a three-way swap.
Anybody knows how can I update the PSP TOOL firmware? My tool gots some old firmware and new games aren't working and it won't update from these umds like a normal psp.
It's incredibly hard, but you are required to track down update discs produced by Sony. Obtaining the PSP Tool is a nightmare, so finding anything relating to it (i.e. anything official) is utter hell! What version are you stuck with?
I have already asked at Sony Business Center, but they told me to update it from a normal game. WTF? If somebody has some new firmware for this psp tool 1500, please send it me. I have firmware 2.60 TestingTool Revision B. I just want to play some newer games on it I know that system update weights aroung 40-50MBs.
Very surprised the SBC even entertained a call regarding development material with a member of the general public tbh. The unit won't (as you've noticed) update, so they were literally clueless or getting rid of your call.
I'm not from general public I'm working in the industry, but we are not developing games for psp anymore.
The psp updates got supplied with ftp downloads. Then you burn the update on a dvd and put it in the test Thats why there aren't any updates floathing around.
Yeah the firmwares have not been leaked (not into the wild at least) so yeah they are likely to be hellish to obtain.
Do anyone know how much brand new psp testing tool dtp-L1500A will go for?? Do anyone know how much psp testing tool dtp-L1500A will go for??
