Brand new? Do you mean the original price to developers? If you are a licensed developer they were (may still be) actually priced at $4,200. Prior to the change in price (2006) they were roughly twice that. Sony wished to encourage new developers onto PSP. They've just done the same with with the PS3 dev kit.

However, if you mean how much do they cost second-hand, then it's rather difficult to say as they rarely come up for auction / sale.

 

No one in their right mind would buy one for $4,200! Not even close! Trust me, I know.

I know what you are saying, but when people ask the value of an item, the MSRP does not play a role. My 360 dev kit is not worth 10k because thats what the dev price is.... I'd be lucky to get 1k for it (USD) and more than likely 500 or so. Hohwever, to me it's value is in the usage, so I wouldn't sell for 5k!

Just making sure people's perceptions are clear.

The price, as you and I painfully know is about as solid as a piece of string! I think it helps perspective on it though as frankly the end price recently was far higher than expected. $2000+

 

What's the difference between the L1500 and H1500? All the documentation I can find online just lumps these two together like they are exactly the same...
