all USA & PAL games work 100% bar:

the above issues could be caused with the dumps I have but, there the trurip dumps & as far as I know there perfectly fine.

also the above happens regardless of the region your system is set to. (I can't talk for people with bios replacements, I change mine with the 12v wire & disc)

That's exactly what I wanted to hear! Thank you! So you've tested all the games???

Also, does Shenmue 1 and 2 changing discs work ok? If I remember correctly you can just save and then load up the next disc but cant remember.

Yeah I tested all PAL & NTSC games (took a while)
As for multi disc games all work bar D2 since that's requires you to open the drawer & put disc two in right away.

Ok, I reformatted and now my GDEMU is seeing more than just the first 10 games, but the GDMenu is still loading random games when I pick one from the menu.
I'm not even using the tool to create a menu ini file, just using the standard GDMenu disc.cdi. All of the games work fine when I select them manually with the button the PCB.

How much is the USB one out of interest? Probably would have rather had that seeing is the games are so big and SD cards are so small. The GDEMU is still great though. Just wish I could use the GDMenu

I had an issue once with the gdemu_sd program where I think it moved one of my shenmue discs on the sd to a different folder. I thought that maybe i had done it somehow though, but now hearing others having issues, maybe it does have a bug.

I'm not even using the gdemu_sd program now, I'm using an untouched gdmenu from the orginal zip. Maybe my gdemu is having api button issues, I do have the latest fw though.

Edit: In gdmenu, if I slowly press the d-pad and make sure it doesn't skip any games in a single press then it seems to work ok. I think what is happening is that the gdemu is getting out of sync with the menu when I hold the d-pad down to skip through multiple games in the menu.

I did another test where I just held down on the d-pad and skipped to the 14th game and it actually loaded the 6th game or something. So it looks like I need to skip one game per press of the d-pad. Is this normal or am I suffering from api button issues there were supposedly fixed in the latest fw?

This makes sense, I've noticed sometimes when i press the dpad it skips a couple of games, even if i press it as quick as i can and let go.

Maybe it was something I did by accident then. That was the only issue I ever had with the menu system (besides some things just showing blank, but they were working). I havent noticed anything opening the wrong image on my system.

So if you hold the d-pad down and skip through a few games on a single press it still loads the right game?

    GDmenu v0.3

Here's the new version of the GDmenu.
    Download
    GDmenu_v0.3(17-10-2014).zip

    Changelog:
    - Overall UI re-design/improvements.
    - Now displays additional info from the selected disc image.
    - Now draws the texture 0GDTEX.pvr from the gd-rom/cd-rom if present. (supports all headers/formats including textures that are not displayed in the DC music player itself)
    - Fixed a problem where disc images with a high number of tracks could cause a de-sync in the list.
    - Added workaround for disc images with empty title in the ip.bin meta-data, using iso volume name instead. (fixes NG:Dev.Team games that would display an empty title in the list)

Awesome, it looks great, but it didn't fix my issue of the selected game in the menu getting out of sync with the GDEMU if I hold the d-pad down to skip through several games. I have to press the d-pad down the same number of times as as the game I want to load. EG in your picture if I wanted to load Sonic Shuffle I'd have to press down on the d-pad 22 times. If I simply held the d-pad down to get to Sonic Shuffle it would load one of the games higher up in the list.

There's also a bug with the menu showing the image and info for the wrong game once you hold down the d-pad to quickly skip through games, it does seem to load the game who's image and info is shown on the right though, even though the game selected in the list on the left is something different :)
Eg. I selected San Francisco Rush in the list and it showed Gauntlet Legends image on the right. I pressed A and it loaded Gauntlet Legends.

I think I need to stick to pressing the d-pad multiple times for now :)

What brand is your SD Card?

My guess is that the problem is caused by the SD card, it probably has high latency.
Try with a different one if you can and make sure you have the GDEMU.ini in the root of the SD Card.

Also PM me the list of games you have on your SD Card if possible.

It's a 16GB Kingston Class 10. Not the best, but shouldn't be too bad.
I'm going to get a 64GB Samsung today, maybe that will be better.

The game displayed on the right boots, but it is different from the one selected in the menu.

I'll PM you the games on the card.

Awesome - loving this update Neuroacid, everything is working great and looks awesome too :)

Have a couple of games where the disc texture is upside down lol - but of course that's not down to your menu it's just the way the 0GDTEX.PVR file is (The dreamcast music menu rotates these textures anyway which is why it doesn't normally matter if any are upside down)
Would be nice to have a default texture for discs that don't have one (but of course not really necessary lol)

***Never had the menu load a wrong image yet (and I use it a lot!) Though I do use the list.ini function due to the size of the cards I use***

Ok, I tried an 8GB Sandisk Class 4 and I can't reproduce the problem of the menu getting out of sync, so it's the crappy Kingston card. I wasn't planning in using it permanently anyway. I'll grab a 64GB Samsung EVO later.

Great, trying it out now. Thanks :)

Is there a way to patch NTSC games to run at 60Hz on a PAL DC? I can get around the region lock with this tool, but all of the NTSC games I've tried seem to run at 50Hz with my RGB SCART cable.
Does the USB GDROM get around this issue somehow, I notice that it says it's region free.

I got a 64GB Samsung card and it seems fine so far, menu staying in sync.

Damn that looks good, wish MNEMO would allow us to run a different menu or update his, as his is bland compared to this.

Anyone with the UGC know if there is a new update?
