The site linked to isn't mine, but I wish it was because that's more G1-related project work than I'll be able to do for a while. It's a very well-done installation, though.

Good thing about the site is the page with all test points and what they're connected to.

@Helder - the board on that site is just for a custom BIOS install / switcher.

I think @Dreamcast is just saying that the method of installation would be handy for the other test points.

The BIOS does of course share a lot of the same signals though, so it was an idea many months ago of cybdyn / me / others to do add custom BIOS support to the DCIO.

That would involve adding around ten more signals to what's already available on the G1 connector, so not too bad.
(That's basically the same as what I did on the NAOMI, so I could emulate a different BIOS as well as spy on the G1 port traffic to / from the cart.)

I've been quite busy sorting out the junk in the loft and room this week, and I threw out practically half a skip's worth of junk. lol
Don't worry, nothing too important - just old cables, VHS tapes, CD-Rs, boxes, broken tape decks. etc.

I did keep my original Dreamcast and N64 boxes though ofc.
Only good thing I found was a Sonic 1 cart for the Mega Drive. :p

So, I haven't had chance to work some more on the DC flex cable yet.
I'm still not entirely sure it will be that easy to make it work reliably, or how much it will cost per cable.

With all the progress being made on the true GD Emu's (and Deunan's), I might as well just get more of the standard adapter made?
It would be a lot simpler, and the design is already done - just means the DC case won't close with the GD drive installed (still required atm, until SWAT can get the custom BIOS working for Dreamshell.)

If madsheep implements a simple internationalization mechanism like the .mo format from Jonathan Blow (Braid) it will be easier to add languages. Source code is here:

Thanks but i think lang.cfg file is not a really good idea.
English is a shortest language than a lot of language and also the app have a picturebox. For example :

Aaaaand it's gone... That didn't take long, closed again in twelve hours, and Deunan stated that "...there might not even be another run."

Maybe with such demand, though, he'll see the value of some sort of commercial or larger run, and those who missed out can have another chance.

It's a great device, I'm glad to have it -

    - but I am VERY excited to see where the other DC GDROM emulation projects are at and support those as well!

Looks like SWAT (and oZoNe and cybdyn ) are moving forward with hard drive integration and making Dreamshell even more awesome.

Can't wait for SWAT to have some more RC releases or a final version - and maybe see some hardware releases from others, or a how-to document (maybe mmmonkey will get interested and write one up, his are quite good)?!? That would be cool.

How's your project, Mario? It looked promising, but you were re-ordering some boards when last I saw?

I think all the other SD card-based GDROM emulation projects are stalled or dead at this point, correct?

EDIT: Side note/question - - has anyone with a GDEMU tried a UHS-1 card for their unit? Notice any speed increase? I am tempted to try one, but not if it's not compatible or faster than a standard SDHC card, I'd rather not spend the money...!

I got a GDEMU! Haven't had a chance to test it, unfortunately, but it's very nicely put together.

Atari, at the moment, I am right where I last left off. I just haven't had time to pick this up recently because of work and because of a couple other projects. I'd like to finish up those other projects before I work on this one. I'd say probably another month or two before you hear anything more from me, unfortunately.

Has anyone tried booting up a image which is bigger than the official maximum filesize for Dreamcast games? The reason why I ask this, is because it would be pretty awesome to create a hacked dreamon image (like this) with all of your favorite games without being limited to the file size.
