looking for Retron 5 hack to play Roms

Would you be comfortable opening it up and taking pictures? I'd be really interested to see the differences between the latest version and the original:

Thats a shame, would of been great to have a nice CRT scanline shader added to the system

Interesting! Thanks! Looks like the blue slot(genesis?) is maybe a bit different than I remember. Also looks like the mainboard revision date is still the same. And looks like they managed to eliminate the through-hole resistor on the cart board(as expected).

edit: ah yes, famicom, good call skel28(guess I was jsut hoping since genesis was the only one I thought was particularly tight, but I don't own any famicom games yet). Looks like the controller board revisions are the same also. On the cart board R25 near the J5 slot has been moved or removed and near the J6 slot a small ic has been removed and replaced with some transistors or something. I guess on this main board at least the flash changed from Micron to SK hynix and the specific CPU part number looks to have changed too.

@retroJunkie any chance you could pull the 'ok5' sticker off the flash or post the whole part number?

 

That Blue slot is the Famicom slot at the front isn't it? If you look it's next to the GB slot.

Man, such a tease. It's great to see Labo make such progress on this firmware though.

Sure can and will do, might be a few days as I'm away from home but I'll get it done and post here!

 

I have his hack as well and since you wrote the english translation, I followed your instructions on running the PCE CD cue files but cant seem to get them to run.
The screen starts to load but then flashes back the to the Retron 5 home screen and it just keeps reloading instead of playing the game. I put all the wav and iso files in the same directory (PCE folder) and changed the cue sheet iso to:"/mnt/external_sd/Retron/Saves/Roms/PCE/ys1and2.iso" BINARY

but still no go...a little help please?

The hack is not public yet. We are not supposed to give the hack out according to Labo.

Gladiator, when did you message him? I've been messaging him for quite literally four months and nothing, no response, reply or anything.
