looking for Retron 5 hack to play Roms

Well I believe it was around early January I joined twitter, followed and messaged him, and then all of a sudden like a week ago my email inbox said that retronlabo is following you on twitter and you have a private message which contained the hack.
I pretty much begged for the hack LOL. I said please like 10 times in my message

I wonder if its possible for this hack, to allow the removal/bypass of the region check that some games have and also force the Retron 5 to switch to a true 60hz mode when you select if from the region settings as at the moment that does seem to force PAL 50hz games to run at 60hz speed and screen size. Obviosuly this is only only for when your using actual game carts in the Retron 5.

Also are 32X roms playable on this?, if so would be awesome if your could slot your real 32X games in the Megadrive slot and it play the game.

Im not sure if any of the above is possible via Labo's CFW!?

I have not tested PCE to be honest. I did try FSD though, but could not get it to run. I checked with Labo and I did everything right, but still could not get it to run.
As soon as I have some time over, I'll give PCE a try, or have you got it to run yet?

 

got everything to run except PC engine CD, and the genesis files (thats because they are .bin files) the .md genesis files work fine though.

 

Labo isn't replying to my tweets. Is there any reason he's keeping this hack sort of locked up?

 

does anyone have this hack with fba ? all ng, cps1 or cps2 games work ?

I don't have the fba hack, its the previous one he made before...but then again I haven't tried any ng, cps1 or cps2 games.

 

Does this thing have wifi ?? there is pads for an antenna

Hey is there a way to use correct game genie cheats with the ips loading method? I'd love to have the other hack you guts are talking about but since its not in the cards I'm making due with what's available.

well, i think you can do bluetooth pan and if the usb settings were fixed and a button was added to change the usb-otg mode from host and back you could use an external wifi dongle(i think i do that on raspberry pi or some other dev board too)

Not sure yet but it was just confirmed on 8itdo's Twitter account that it is working, just have to wait for him to release the new firmware. I do have the NES30 & it's a easy process to pair it to a smartphone & pc for emulators.
