I played orta before I played the other two and I never played Panzer Dragoon for story. My Copy of Zwei is a Japanese copy so i'm looking from a gameplay stand point.

Orta is just more complicated than Zewi but otherwise I really enjoy it. I also didn't play Zwei until VERY recently.

Wish they had at least kept the game sharing feature, maybe Steam can adopt it to make up for some of their shittier "features".

MS didn't listen to anything. This is a pretty old tactic. They knew they were going to get backlash because of the "24/7 all-seeing-eye" crap so they added more drama to the mix for which they didn't really care that much and, so, they could, after the rage meter raised high enough, say "oh, ok, we were wrong, you win, people, because we are a company that listens to consumers", that way completing the tension-release cycle in order for people to feel at a relative ease and forget about the really important matter, which is the big brother camera in your home. Of course, if, for some reason, people didn't outrage at the DRM stuff, they would have gladly kept it: Never reject a present. But that was really a distraction, as the real interest is, no doubt, the 24/7 mandatory kinect all-seeing(and hearing)-eye. Enlisting gaming consoles/entertainment centers in the plethora of spying consumer electronics used by the 24/7 surveillance police state was planned for some time already, this being just a tiny example http://www.technewsdaily.com/5617-military-hacks-game-consoles.html and not an early one at that.
With all that's coming out even in the media (always a mild, doctored and ages-behind version of the actual developments) I'm surprised people still scoff at these things as "conspiranoia". Really, WTF.

That said, I'm sure PS Move is also spyshit when connected anyway. May not be mandatory/shoved-in, but that makes no difference. In fact, I could even see MS giving in to remove the mandatoriness of Kinect, but that wouldn't mean it's not used for surveillance while it's connected. In fact, if they did that, it would probably have the effect of people feeling more at ease with it (than they are now, which is already an alarming level of acceptance) and leave it on 24/7 happily just because they aren't forced to it anymore. Voluntary slavery is much more effective.

Tinfoil won't help with global police state and programs like PRISM. I don't think that all the data will be streamed directly to NSA - they will run out of the disk space very quick, but least MS will use info for targeted ads. There's simply no reasonable explanation for the device with cameras and mike to be plugged in all the time you want to play, even if it's not required for this game. Except for surveillance. And the main problem isn't the governments or MS itself. This thing really can be hacked and can be used by other guys.
But it's not that scary - you can always open that kinect, cut some traces and add two switches - one disables the microphone, other - power to the cameras. And i'm pretty sure someone will just make a simple dongle that emulates that thing.

Years ago ebay Australia pulled a similar stunt paypal or cod only, so no direct deposit etc. People cut absolutely sick and went over to what then oztion. Ebay Au relented and dropped that thought and everyone went back to ebay and now Oztion (quicksales now) has pretty much faded away (for gaming anyway).

So I think people will forgive and forget this....

An Xbox One developer just posted about how depressed he is that his DRM Family Plan and other modes are not going to be used. This is must read stuff http://www.heyuguysgaming.com/news/12507/heartbroken-xbox-one-employee-lets-rip-must-read

    Look at this quote:

"First is family sharing, this feature is near and dear to me and I truly felt it would have helped the industry grow and make both gamers and developers happy. The premise is simple and elegant, when you buy your games for Xbox One, you can set any of them to be part of your shared library. Anyone who you deem to be family had access to these games regardless of where they are in the world. There was never any catch to that, they didn’t have to share the same billing address or physical address it could be anyone. When your family member accesses any of your games, they’re placed into a special demo mode. This demo mode in most cases would be the full game with a 15-45 minute timer and in some cases an hour. This allowed the person to play the game, get familiar with it then make a purchase if they wanted to. When the time limit was up they would automatically be prompted to the Marketplace so that they may order it if liked the game. We were toying around with a limit on the number of times members could access the shared game (as to discourage gamers from simply beating the game by doing multiple playthroughs). but we had not settled on an appropriate way of handling it. "

So basically you can't loan your games to friends, you give them 1 hour demos that then take them to xbox marketplace. This guy is delusional and I'm barely through this article. I think this guy shows how out of touch internally the xbox team is.

Can't agree more. I'm now realising 1984 was a prediction, not a novel.

So basically what he is complaining about is what Playstation Plus already does, in free, hour long trials, except in this case your "family" would have to own the game.

His post confused me even more about how family sharing worked which is ironic since he goes on about how they didn't get the message across about the benefits. His little 360 snipe at the end didn't engender any sympathy either.

So basically sharing games wasn't really sharing games with your family but just letting people demo them with time restrictions and popups so they can buy the game? Nice, real nice.

I think a lot of people are going to continue to be distrustful of Microsoft considering the bullshit that they just tried to pull, and then retracted. And yeah, the mandatory Kinect, although I don't think it's quite as sinister as people make it out to be, is still a strong deterrent for me. Even aside from all that, I'm still leaning towards the PS4 if for no other reason than that the PS3 was a great media center in addition to being a gaming console, and it's looking like the PS4 will continue that.

And some people think They Live is Non fiction. It's there with their gun, Bible and saint portrait of Alex Jones.

The Kinnect will be abused by governments. I have no doubt about that. I don't think on the scale of PRISM but rest assured that come November if some gov agency has an interest in someone one of the first questions asked will be "Does he have an Xbox One?".

Or to put it another way if a country like China says that unless Microsoft gives them Kinnect access to these people China will delay, ban, ect their other products do you really think Microsoft is going to lose millions of dollars over a few people?

When word of what this Kinnect can do got out intelligence agencies around the world had to laugh at the irony of millions of people hooking up themselves the surveillance equipment that could potentially be used on them.
