Nice one, too bad it's in lowdef but still more impressive than 4. Guess they could put it together with the Unreal3 engine (its used for everything these days)
I agree Shadowlayer its a lot better than Sonic 4. I just wish they had been more creative like this.
He is get with the times young man you and your Modern Warfare 2s and your GTAs BUT they went back to the drawing board with Sonic 4
Problem is Sonic is no longer a game but a brand, and with a brand you cant innovate a lot because it breaks the opinion that buyers have about it. In the past the gameplay and the characters used to vary from game to game, just like other franchises do, but since it became a brand everything is static, from the character's design to music, story, layout, etc... I wouldn't expect any breakthroughs like SonicCD to happen again, theres just no creative freedom at all with this property.
I need a brush up here. From what I understand, this game(Sonic 4. It is still Sonic 4, right? ) was leaked a few months back wasn't it? Wasn't that a complete game as well, and someone took video of the whole thing being played through from beginning to end? So how is this game still not released? Edit: Alright, quick wiki search says they decided to spend more money to further develop it. Guess they saw people thought it sucked. Maybe they don't realize that unless they start from zero though it's still gonna be the same thing
Thanks for the broad generalizations and use of stereotypes. Sonic is irrelevant to the modern games industry. Even indie games have shown this, take Runman: Race Around the World for example. Go take your nostalgia somewhere else.
Or take your MW2 loving ass elsewhere Maybe they leaked it on perpose to guage fan reaction before they released it?
No, GodofHardcore does have a point. It has been done before. A company will purposely "leak" a version of their game just to se what the reaction is from the general public. After all, Sega must know that this new old school Sonic is their final chance of redeeming any original fan base so the must get it right. Still, even if the game does turn out to be fantastic there'll still be a load of whining arse holes. Yakumo
You mean this video? it was made by some guy. A lot of work, but so was the NintendON video from 2005. Segammy doesnt give a crap about old timey sonic, the "new" one is already more widely known. Even with the pseudo-old gameplay (is more like rush IMO) is still the same sonic from the last 6 years or so, crap. The only thing that could steer them to a new redesign would be a complete collapse of the franchise.
Yakumo's not talking about the video render, he's talking about Sonic 4. I'll wait til it's released and then decide.
Yeah I know, but we happen to be talking about the video. The part about the demo ended in february...
