It is unlucky, and bad things may come to those who work in non-essential jobs during the new year. Believe me, foreigners not getting an electronic gizmo on time is not an essential item. It's like all of the west's holidays combined into one. Almost everything stops. And festivity's and traditions go on for days. It's like how almost everything shuts down for Christmas/Newyears in the US(about 20 years ago). That's what I experienced, but refer to wikipedia for the long explaination.
I think this poll/survey has reached as many votes as it's gonna get, so I'll just bump the results one last time so you can all see what people have votes. You can still vote here http://poll.pollcode.com/tbhf1q if you want but I doubt it's gonna get more than a handfuld from this point on. Anyways, thanks to everyone who has taken a minute to vote, I acually never thought 150 people would vote. Just remember: This poll is only for the sake of curiosity and is not associated with Krikzz and his work. The Gameboy is clearly the favorite (No surprise there), with the Neo Geo, Saturn and Jaguar a good margin behind. Though I think the Jaguar is probably the most realistic
still really hoping for a gameboy everdrive, drag n derp is nice, but finally having a cart that just taks a micro sd would be great
Depending on what do you think jaguar is the most realistic? i am not against it or anything, but i really wonder how you get this idea.
I have no idea how he gets that idea, I have never heard KRIKzz ever talk about a Jaguar cart. Not saying it isn't possible, but I have never heard him mention a single thing ever about a Jaguar cart. Personally I think KRIKzz is spread too thin at is it right now. If I were KRIKzz the only other cart I would do at this point in-time is a GB one. After that I would stop new carts for a long while and concentrate on going back on improving on the OS features of the current carts. If he does GB cart that would be I believe 10 different carts he manufactures and 9 that he develops for. 1. EverDrive-MD 2. Super EverDrive 3. Master EverDrive 4. EverDrive-GG 5. EverDrive64 6. Mega EverDrive 7. SD2SNES 8. EverDrive-N8 (FC) 9. EverDrive-N8 (NES)
He did mention on his own forum he was at least considering having a look at the Jaguar. http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=46.msg906#msg906
I don't get it why everyone wants a GB one? You can play all games on a Decent GBA flashcard, like EZ flash-IV Neogeo Everdrive would be his best bet, and would make Igor get some more attention and make him popular than he is now,If he wasn't already more popular than he ever wanted to be. Hell i'll even buy him a Neogeo AES if he doesn't have one, just so he could fiddle with it.
you can play gb and gbc games on a gba with ez flash 4 only by emulation. just like you can play neo-geo games on nearly all modern consoles with emulation. i want sd cart loading and multiple saves for gb and gbc games. most possibly most of the voters think like that too.
Yeah, when it comes down to it. There's not much that tops krikzz' quality and I've used a good amount of flash carts.
Personally I would like the next Everdrive to be a Gameboy ED, since most people have/had/know the Gameboy and they are easy to come by, plus that it has a HUGE library of games, many of them considered good/classic/fun and such. Especially if it'll work with both Classic and Color. I think I was a little vague in my statement. As far as I'm aware(Don't take this a concrete faqs), Krikzz has been working on the GB Everdrive but the power consumption seemed to be an issiue, he then started to work on the N8 Everdrive. I believe he mentioned that he might start work on a Jaguar Everdrive not too long ago and I haven't heard about any issiues concerning that particular device, and next to the Gameboy, I would think the Jaguar is perhaps the best choice for the next Everdrive(Just my opinion of course). I would of course also love to see a Everdrive for the Neo Geo and Saturn, more than a Jaguar one actually but Krikzz has stated on multiple occasions that that would be a VERY complicated and near impossible project to start on, and I'm not really sure a Saturn Everdrive is even possible, maybe the cartridge slot could be exploided but it was more wishful thinking than anything else Like I said, I hope the next one will be the GBED, I think the power consumption aspect could easily be looked over if it isn't fixable (I would mind paying extra if it meant more expensive components though) But most likely I would be using the GBED on either a Super Gameboy/Gameboy Player or a Gameboy SP where batteries isn't really an issiue. The Gameboy is also one of the last console that doesn't currently have any SD flashcarts, the only ones I can think of only features about 8MB of storage and you have to switch bank on the computer (Cannot be done manually) I think there's a big demand for a Gameboy Everdrive. Like sparksterz said, Krikzz's quality is top of the line. tl:dr, I know ^^; Note: Updated the poll pic with new numbers, turned out there still was a few who wanted to vote ^^;
No matter what, a NeoGeo flash cart would definitely be expensive. Plus you have the choice of AES or MVS, which do you do? Or do you try to do both? Either way, NG carts are two pcbs, with many components and alot of memory. It would possibly end up costing twice as much as the most expensive EverDrive out now. But that's just a guess. At the *very* least it would probably cost more than the most expensive one now. And NG has some real competition with the 150-in-1 multicarts that have most of the games on them. I got a 150-in-1 for I believe about $120 shipped. There is no way an EverDrive for NG could be made and sold for that little. Atleast not at this current time.
If only there was one or a combination of 2 carts that had every title. I have a list around of what is missing from the 150-in-1. There are significant titles such as Metal Slug 5 and KoF 2000.
I just can't understand why people would want krikzz to put his resources into making a cart for the Gameboy. I guess it's just my personal bias, but why isn't everyone asking him to take a try at disc-based consoles? Wouldn't you all rather have some kind of "loader" for the Sega Dreamcast/Saturn?
It's totally your personal bias. The Game boy has a huge library with a game for everyone, carrying around every single one on one cart would be amazing.
