I'm talking about the ones you mentioned in the other thread: You said you still have these in your possession, which is why I asked "Can you release the protos you have?" Why not release the protos you have to the community? You said you love the Neo, why keep the games for yourself? There's a ton of us that want to play the games that were made for the Neo, protos and all.
I think Dion interpreted your request as releasing the game on cartridge format. I guess what you're asking is releasing the Game's binary dump (ROM) online right?
Hi, I actually registered because I had a question to ask you Dion. I bought a Puzzle Bobble from you guys on the new side. Fire it up, it starts up on a drastically higher difficulty than stock difficulty. Removed your warranty sticker to find out one of the chips was replaced with an eeprom. Why did you guys do that?
Correct, I'm requesting a rom dump or if he has the actual cart for sale then it would be another way of acquiring the game for us all.
Dion, I don't mean to drag this on, but when I bought Metal Slug 3 USA from you I didn't have that option of receiving the original insert. I still have the original invoice too. Do you still have a stock of extra inserts? Question: Do you still have a personal Neo-Geo AES collection and if so do you still play them? Personally I loved pre-NG SNK games in the arcade (Vanguard, Ikari Warriors) and on the NES (Baseball Stars, Iron Tank, Crystalis). So I was very excited when they announced the Neo-Geo AES and by Christmas of 1990 I was the owner of an AES Gold System + Baseball Stars & Top Player's Golf.
I should've mentioned it was an MVS cart, my bad on that. If you ever hear from Chris, ask him about that. No hate on it, just really curious as to why only one chip was replaced and why it starts up on level 6 or 8
Spoonman's in the house. How have you been old friend? What happened to your neo page? As for your Metal Slug 3: If I remember correctly, you ordered and received the repackaged cart with english sticker and insert. Actually, I have quite a few extra inserts of various games, including but not limited to games such as ss4, real bout, last blade, kof95,96,98,99, metal slug, and of course Metal Slug 3). If you want the original japanese Metal Slug 3 insert, it's yours. FREE!! Anytime you have any questions or concerns, just email me. (this goes for everyone) Private message me so I can send you the Slug3 insert.
just spotted this: http://www.neostore.com/NeoGeo-World-Carpet-p/1240.htm If I remember correctly, there was one lying on the front of your "full neo wall" (picture was on your old website ^^) Is it yours that is for sale ? If not, do you know who was the second owner ? (the page mentions that only two have surfaced)
Thanks Dion. PM sent. My Neo-Geo page is still floating around somewhere. [Here it is]. I haven't done much with it in the last few years...10 or so years to be honest) I did add some new high resolution AES flyer scans from the early days, including my original receipt from 12/1990.
Can we please collectively edit the thread so that question (about the proto's) and the replies to it are in the right thread then. It's only logical and fair. That way both discussions can be fleshed out according to how they are supposed to be and it won't have to come to people questions and concerns being deleted (which would be completely overbearing in an instance like this).
Given the stern tone of the modertaion of this thread I think you should be a bit more detailed in your question. Just trying to help.
The moderators have asked all members to refrain from the insert topics. Everyone knows the history. I even answered the question a few pages earlier. Last time I reply on this thread about inserts. We only did that at the cge shows. Actually, we and the customers did it. They would purchase a game and if they wanted the genre correct insert, they would just do the swap. So to show support for the genre correct inserts, we would shred the errored inserts. Some people did it themselves, some wanted to take pictures of NGF doing it, and others just ripped them up or even burned them with a lighter. That was their prerogative. It wasn't a big deal to the owners/purchasers of the games, so no one else should question it. Even Chris and myself replaced all our personal aes inserts with the correct or with the official NGF english inserts as needed.
With respect, before this thread I had no idea who you were. Assuming people know that, or any of the history involved, is somewhat presumptuous. Thanks for answering, though. I hope none of our posts will be deleted arbitrarily. I feel I've been courteous about the matter and was simply curious, God knows why it's such a taboo to ask.
Alchy go read up we're not here to explain the whole history to you. Stopping the flow of the thread for the benefit of one person is not productive.
