For the love of Madoka please don't fak this up! Also that image seems possible based on other info we have, Its a tablet that can be taken on the go but can also be plugged in and played at home? IDK :/ There is one tiny little problem with that design that could ruin any good it could do tho.... It has no physical controls.
If it is anything like people are expecting, because of the patents and mockups, then I really don't see the point. Tablet gaming crossing over into the console realm doesn't work well. A lot of tablets already have some form of multicast/Airplay. As fate said, the lack of physical controls - tactile feedback - is also a huge killer for most forms of gameplay.
hmm i wonder if it will be the same type of dumb gimmick they did with the wii and wii u. btw i just want a console and system like ps4 or gamecube. powerful too for awesome games.
Who knows, maybe Nintendo will be the ones who magically get it right and make tablet gaming feel good.
Judging by the mock up above the holes on the sides are to add controller sides. The real deal will be less chunky I'd imagine with some branding on it.
I actually really like this. I was super afraid that Nintendo would fuck this up, but this... wow. The name is a bit strange but it's leagues better than "WiiU".
Likewise, the only thing I'm worried about is how those tiny controllers feel when your turn them sideways. They seem a bit too small... Also, @PixelButts, it looks like your devkit photo matches up comparing it side-by-side to this.
Liking it, hoping for a joycon that has a real D-Pad though (and yes I know there is a regular Nintendo one on the "pro" controller)
