Oh dear. I hope they make a mild success and don't go mobile like Sega. Mario looks spectacular always on the release trailers. Makes me remember my childhood, but come on. Seriously? As far as it looks fantastic in the trailer, people just don't take gaming that serious. At the moment for me the best parts are the Pro controller (sticks in the right position thank goodness) and the Wii U collection growth imminent.
People will always find something to complain about. There's isn't a single stupid gimmick with this console this time. It has a traditional controller It has those Joy cons, Neither are a stupid gimmick. The Pro Controller even addresses the problems people had with the WII U pro pad. Look if I can get hyped about this thing with ALL the problems I have with Nintendo, anyone can. I really think this will be Nintendo's comeback. This is pretty much what the Wii U should have been.
Hence why i said "Once again" No one is asking for best / latest or even insane graphics. I even talked about the game card media being a limitation that would avoid exactly that. I think what we are all waiting is games... and all they showed was demos. Everybody knows that a Nintendo system will have a Super Mario and a Mario Kart game... The Zelda they showed will also be released for the WiiU, Splatoon is already available for that, NBA 2K is available for all systems and Skyrim is not even confirmed by Bethesda... In the end, they showed nothing. Where is the new F-Zero game Nintendo fans have been asking? Same for a real Metroid game? Earthbound? I could also mention stuff like Wave Rave, Advance Wars, Golden Sun... Or better, something new, like Splatoon was. They needed to sell a system (that will miss the holiday season) and all i can think is the Nes Mini will be way cheaper and more fun.
You know what happens when people walk around with $299 handheld game system? They get robbed. People will be robbed.
Not if Nintendo is making games for it :/ If they did go software only then its pretty much a guarantee it would be multi plat so doesn't really matter, The idea of PC ports tho.... oh my....
NS sounds pretty much like NX IF Nintendo goes 3rd party, I highly doubt the XBOX brand will still exist in it's current form and likely be a PC brand.

Also, didn't the 3G PSVita cost $300? Where were the concerns of robbery then? Why is this a concern only raised now for the Switch, and not the Vita, or any expensive tablet, or smartphone? That's hardly Nintendo's fault and to say otherwise is deliberately just looking for ways to rag on them.
I don't see what specifically you're playing at with that screenshot, but noticed that in that very scene the game keeps playing on the TV for a couple of frames after she's taken the unit out of the cradle. But: Well it's a marketing video, what do you expect?
I've already seen people call the switch a gimmick and underpowered it looks good to me and there was nothing wrong with the wii u just bad marketing.
