I wonder how is mutiplayer with this. It seems they are marketing just a portable and the "home console" is just an extra feature. Even movies don't film screens, but of course you know that. I wonder why is this noteworthy, though.
Rumors (German news site, don't have an English source, sorry) say that the screen is a capacitive, ten-point multitouch one at 720p (1280x720). And that if you dock the device, that's going to enable active cooling and thus higher clock speeds, meaning more power. I for one am not too happy about the touch screen. I doubt many cross-platform devs will go through the extra trouble of implementing a multitude of control schemes for just one of the supported platforms. Imho chances are games will leave it unused, to not annoy those that use the dock (and therefore don't have access to the screen), or end up on the opposite of the spectrum, degrading the Switch to "just another tablet". (I'm over-generalizing of course. I'm positive that at least Nintendo themselves will come up with a few good uses for everything.)
Nintendo has already stated that they aren't requiring developers to make use of the screen, so yeh, a lot of games, if not all third party won't be using the touch screen at all.
I just hate finger prints on screens haha. So I hope that this feature (if rumor is correct) will not be used by most of the developpers. We will get more answers on January, the 13th.
We've got some rumors on the price: http://letsplayvideogames.com/2016/11/report-uk-retailer-game-to-price-nintendo-switch-from-199-99/
I'd be wary on any price rumors. There have been many conflicting stories cropping up since so many of these stores place stupid placeholder prices (one site, don't remember where, had the Switch at 999.99 pounds).
