I have a new camera, thus it deserves to be used. My Xbox pales in comparison to the work some of you guys have done. (as a sidenote, I think Imageshack has run its course - retarded banners/"quizes" and compatability problems are a killer) I have a Dreamcast in a clear blue case with a blue LED instead of orange, but it's over at my parent's house and I'm not about to go through the trouble of taking pictures of it.
That's a pretty sweet box. How does it look when there are controllers plugged in? Is there still some light that shines through?
There's a slight glow if the controller plug is transparent. Otherwise I don't think a lot of light shines through. I couldn't tell you for sure as I haven't used it in months... I kind of wish I would've never put them in. Back when I went to plenty of Halo LAN parties it was a hit, but it's annoying when I'm trying to watch a movie and there's a shitload of lights blinding me. Oh well, that's what I have a second Xbox for
good job on the XBOX. the colors really fit well and it looks like a clean execution. Also congrats on good photography. Flash strobes are your enemy when taking pictures of paint mods - use ambient light instead.
Damn, all the stuff I ever painted isn't with me anymore. I had a blue Genesis, an Xbox exactly like Taemos, minus the LED's, but I still have a very badly painted red period NES, a faded red/black PS2, and a wierd looking nuclear sharpie Gamecube. Don't think those really deserve pics though.
Thanks guys. It doesn't see much use at my house, but it was a lifesaver when I was at school. We didn't have a DVD player until I brought it along, and it was also the source of a lot of Tetris Attack mid-morning marathons. Cheese007: I used Krylon Fusion to paint it, although there are a few spots that are coming off due to age and my occasional rough handling of it.
Yeah, Krylon is what I used too. We must have the same taste in colors, since mine was exactly the same. =)
Entering for comic effect Atari 2600 riced out with a POWER LED! and it runs off a mobile phone charger. I actually only added the LED when I hardwired the phone charger to the board (the connector had crumbled away) and I had no idea if it was powered on when I tested it.
I think Everyone here has seen my Silver & Black Dreamcast set but how about this aging baby? Used at least 3 to 5 times a week for the last 12 years and still going strong ! I gave this Saturn a paint job 4 years back and it's still looking good although the black paint has come off the buttons a bit Yakumo
All this is making me want to mod another. But I would need to better my white/ blue SMS. I have a week off with nothing to do at the start of December, so thats gives me enough time to think of an idea and maybe complete a new mod.
It's the turtle/pipes game right? I saw the arcade machine when I went on a trip, but it had a whacked out screen.
