    that's exactly how mine is. i'm beginning to think his products hate my sd cards. my GDemu will launch a game and instantly crash. sometimes it just says checking disc and does nothing.

    I could have bad images. They work as bin/cue with my pseudo saturn AR cart so i assume they are good when i convert them to CDI. i did get it to successfully update the fw so something is right.

    Try kingston sd's. I have a class 10 128gb in my DC and a 64Gb in my Saturn. So far zero issues, yet I previously had a Komputer Bay 128gb Sd that Retrocollect.com used in their review that worked in the beginning but started to fuck up later on with random hangs and returning to the main bios screen. I switched to Kingston and the problems went away.

    so thanks for the advice. updated the fw and it started working. my largest card is 16gb because my 64gb is in the pi. i'm going to order a 64 for the DC ad maybe a 32 for the saturn. i have to count the number of games i'd want.

    The nice thing about using multiple cards for the Saturn is that there is a nice little niche under the disc door to the left of where the laser used to be. This is a perfect place in which to keep a spare card.

    I use a SanDisk 64GB SD HC class 10 in each system (Saturn and GDEmu) made to FAT32 using EaseUS Partition manager.

    I'm a huge Saturn fan and my Rhea order just arrived. Install went super easy.

    I've ripped all my games using Disc Juggler 6 with the suggested 4 options checked and they've all worked. I converted a few bin/cue games I downloaded using the mounted to Daemon Tools Lite (4.46 I think) and rip with DiscJuggler method. That's worked without issue as well.

    It took me a few minutes to figure out for import titles I needed to setup the auto region option in the .ini

    The only slight issue I had was with RMenu. For whatever reason, the program would not launch from the SD Card. I worked around this by setting up a file on the HD where I'm storing the Saturn rips to be identical to the memory card. Any time I add new games, I simply launch the Rmenu builder from the HD folder, and then drag over the new game folders plus folder 01 again to the memory card.

    One game that will not launch properly from RMenu is Croc. I found this out after downloading a US rip. There is a glitch in the game (I think all EU copies, plus the initial run of the US copies which were actually recalled) where the game needs to be booted from the Saturn's dashboard, rather then just a straight power on boot. The game will display a mess of graphical errors if you do not boot from the dash. I don't know when the US Saturn release saw a second corrected run, because I don't remember this issue when I owned the game originally back in the 90's. There must have been a second pressing.

    Anyway, if you have a Eu copy of Croc or the first US Saturn rip I came up with a slight workaround for Rmenu so you don't have to click through all the folders with the Rhea button in the dash to find Croc and load it properly. Start the saturn and boot to Rmenu. Whatever game is right before Croc in the list, load that first. Once that starts, hit the Rhea button once. It will take you to the saturn dash with Croc queued up and ready to go. Start application

    Thanks! I just tried that when loading Croc from the Rmenu and it took me to the cd player with the game queued and ready to start. Seems like a bit of trouble for what really is an average 3d platformer, but I really do have a softspot for the game.

    Hi!

    My last "rmenu ISO generator for linux" runs ok with..... CUE/BIN files (tested with ASTRAL and other ones!) It's not my succes, I supposed that it's a standar feature of Rhea.

    Just for info.

    I tried the Japanese version of Croc. It is fixed and boots directly but is all Japanese text. I'd probably stick to the US release if the text matters to you.

    It's not that big of a deal. The hold "A" when booting from Rmenu works perfectly and only adds a few seconds to getting the game running without the graphical errors. If I really liked the game as much as say one of the Panzers, I'd go track down an actual fixed US copy again for my small library of saturn games I still own.

    This should be restated. I started with this card "Lexar Platinum II 300x SDXC 64GB UHS-I/U1" that was in the GDEMU compatibility chart. Everything was fine. I booted to the menu fine, started games with no issues. Occasionally, after 15-20 minutes of gameplay I would get booted to the BIOS menu with a "drive empty" error. My connections were all good to the Rhea. I switched to a SanDisk card (SanDisk SDSDUNC-064G-GN6IN 64GB SDXC UHS-I) and haven't had an issue since. Here's a link to it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0143IIP4W

    Package from Poland has arrived :)

    Easy install. Basically just taking out cd unit and plugging this in. I did make a "tray" from a plastic notebook cover. It's very handy as it's easy to drop the sd card when putting it in.

    I have spent several days trying differnt sd and microsd cards (with adapter). I was able to successfully use every card I tried as long as it was formatted in FAT32. You can not use windows to format cards larger than 32GB. With anything >32GB windows only formats in exFAT.

    A 3rd party program, FAT32format will format card >32GB as FAT32. There is a GUI version (guiformat) available here: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm

    Cards I've successfully used are:

    128GB - PNY Elite Performance SDXC sdcard
    32GB - PNY Turbo Performance SDHC sdcard
    32GB - RiData Lightenng Series SDHC sdcard

    @@@@@@@ EDIT

    Would NOT recommend using microsd card. It is not being on consistently recognized. Standard sd cards are.

    I've removed from list above:
    64GB - PNY Turbo Performance SDXC microSD card (with generic adapter)

    One last post. Played with Rmenu rather expensively over the last few days. You can really do some really interesting game organizing

    I do not like alphabetical lists of games. I like to organize by genre. such as:

    action
    adventure
    fighters
    . 2d
    . 3d
    [etc]

    With everdrives and the dreamcast usb-gdrom it is easy to do as it allows folders and nested folders.

    I found with rmenu you can organize similarly without using folders. Rmenu displays lists that are 24 lines long. You can thus create 24 line "pages" to organize games. Rmenu "L" and "R" button presses advance the display to the next 24 line "page." You can thus create lists of games with genres lists on specific "pages"

    In creating the file structure, I created folders that contained games. Where I wanted "blank" spots I just put a text file in the folder.

    In editing the rmenu folder, I found you could not have a blank ("") name for a game. If you did, it would not properly create the list and selecting games would not work. However, you could put a dot (".") as a game name and it would create the list fine and game selection worked ok.

    By doing this you can create a very readable list of games. You just have to organize in 24 line "pages."

    With the 128GB card, I ended up with 407 folders containing about 200 games. I've attached the rmenu.ini file so you can see how I used genre names, dots and cues to go to next page to organize it by24 line "pages." I've also attached my working "index to sd card" which is much more readable. Just to give a feel for how the organization can work, below are a couple of 24 lines "pages" of the rmenu display I use.

    Code:
    01 = RMENU
    02 = .
    03 = .
    04 = .
    05 = *******  ACTION  *******
    06 = .

    16 = SKELETON WARRIORS
    17 = SONIC 3D BLAST
    18 = SOVIET STRIKE
    19 = TOMB RAIDER
    20 = VIRTUAL-ON
    21 = .
    22 = .
    23 = .
    24 = (MORE ON NEXT PAGE)
    Code:
    265 = *******  SHUMPS  *******
    266 = .

    269 = .

    That's pretty damn clever. You need more shmups! Check out the Racketboy list.
