Three cheers for the Xbox 360 Scene. You took a product you loved, dropped a great big dirty shit on it and flushed it down the toilet, never to be seen the same way ever again.

    Hip hip, hooray!
    Hip hip, hooray!
    Hip hip, hooray!

If you didn't do so already, feel free to contact all of the retards leaking stuff long before the platform was unsupported, then demanding thanks as if they slaved every day and built the fucking things and send them your belated regards!

This is the best thing to happen to Pnet bar shutting it down. Why M$ didnt do this several years ago is beyond me.

I doubt M$ will make the same mistake again, but rest assured they will probably still make plenty of new mistakes in future. Sadly, so will the kiddies in the Durango crowd too =/

    It's just a test.
Pnet for X360 will close soon, and this system will be up for the durango system.

I wonder if MS was smart enough to leave the machine nuke process in effect. You know I suspect that when the 360 enters EOL MS will keep Pnet up just to make sure every XDK is destroyed. After all XDKs are property of MS not the dev studio.

To be fair, PNet for Xbox 1 was kept up until just before the retail service ended for XB1.

Pnet may probably be in it's last full year. We don't know what games are coming out next year until spring. I know we got Crysis & GTA but other than that I don't really see anything major on the list. Maybe some DLC for Halo, GTA,BL2,and COD to make the 360 go out with a bang. I wouldn't be sureprised if MS is already planing to release Durango with a whitelist tool and final dev kit designs out by October of next year. All I know is that if the 360 took this long to Jtag/RGH even DVD Flashing took some time, Durango could be twice or three times as difficult to crack. For cyring out loud we have to replace the darn drive boards in the S just to play backups! I don't know how much cash people are gonna want to start shelling out just to play backups, I don't even think DL will be used for the next gen I think blurays 25GB-50GB will be used and who knows what we have to do to bypass it.

Xbox 360 is in a different spot than the original Xbox, though. I don't think it will be as abruptly discontinued.

I'm hoping that Microsoft uses a similar approach that Sony did with the PS2. Even years after the PS3 came out, the PS2 was still getting interesting, high-quality titles. It could certainly become their economy console, especially considering that the userbase is already more than three times the size of the original Xbox and the architectural design has greatly matured over the years. After a price drop here and there, it would also better-suited for smaller teams when it comes to game development in terms of pricing and everything. Truth be told, I think that the old 360 might still have some life in it well into 2014/2015. :)

Neversoft's COD will hit holiday season 2013, or spring 2014 for the 360.

I agree having a homebrew Pnet would nothing short of spectacular, but I imagine it'd be hard as hell to pull off.
