    Been having problems with my unit last few weeks.

    Also getting the error of Logon_SG_Service_Failed. I take it this means the IP address is black listed? Kind of annoying if so since I supplied MS with all the correct details.

    Its a whitelist, and if you are registered developer they give you a tool to whitlist your IP.

    Is the tool for developers only? My unit is a legit one from Microsoft but it's for reviewing/previewing code not developing. I don't usually need to go online but I need access for some preview code to try some modes out.

    Its not a tool thats given... Come on leo ;p

    Its a website on GDN thats written in ASP .NET. You simply input your ip, then it takes 15 minutes to take action.

    You're really hitting the technicalities there, because by your definition it is a web application which could also be called a {web}tool. :)

    I managed to sort my problem regarding the whitelist but I've run into another issue.

    In the tools section you can create a new profile. Before this used to work fine and the profile would go online and I could download anything with the use of adding free points but now the tool can't seem to do it. Anyone else had this problem?

    I have access to these at the moment, I'm not sure if a newer one is out since MS only supplied me with 16154 a few weeks ago.

    Flash: 16154.0 - XDK: 21173.8
    Flash: 15574.0 - XDK: 21173.8
    Flash: 14719.0 - XDK: 21119.0

    14719.0 locks up when signing in and 15574.0 doesn't load any online data such as Game downloads/demos/add-ons. I will try 16154.0 now and hopefully it will work.

    It's annoying because I originally did the 16154 update but it corrupted my profile and I can't recover since I created it through the XDK tools which create it's own email and password so I've lost loads of save data which I needed to cover for work. :dejection:

    Maybe you should contact your DAM if you're having trouble signing in to PartnerNet, after all your kit is licensed.

    When you are back online, its easy to recover your tag.

    Use the following when recovering...

    email="yourtaghere"@xboxtest.com
    password=supersecret

    hope this helps

    Thanks wanszai, I'll remember that for next time. Sadly though I had changed by tag because it was originally one of those Xefa########## tags so I have no idea what the remaining parts were.

    I made a new gold account with 14719 then upgraded to 16154 which has worked so I'll change the email/pass for this account so in the future I have no worries if I need to recover. Unless I can work out the original username for the old tag I doubt I'll be able to get that back unless the team at MS can supply me it since I can give them the gamertag.

    You can always copy the profiles from the HDD and open them up in a content tool like Le Fluffie or whatever is the shiniest atm, they will tell you the gamertags of the profile stored inside.
