That seems like a great price. I spent about $15 on an N64 a few months ago over here, and I was lucky enough to find one with the Expansion pack. It's unfortunate the controllers aren't very durable - I had to settle for one with a messed up joystick. It would be great if people learned to care for their hardware.

DOA4 with that sexy japanese slipcase, and a free DOA poster from my favourite importer. Replacement DC arcade stick. Star ocean 2 drama cds.

Loving DOA, looks frikin amazing and actually provides a decent challenge and this is the first time I have got into reversals properly. Just need my 360 arcade stick to arrive....

Oh and on the non-gaming got the editors "the back room" cd. Superb.

Got an Amiga 500 with mouse, joystick, sealed manuals and A520... for 5e. All I needed was the PSU to use on my A1200 but this was cheaper :)

Yeah, Ive been scrambling here looking around. I had to clean her cage though, It was terribly dirty and there were large wet spots around. She seems to have taken this well, and is re-making her nest with some tissue paper I provided :) Shes got the babies inside that little pre-made nest thing while shes doing this haha.

They look just like this, its too cute!

Ooh you finally got a N64 YAAY (^_^)

You really need to try to get a Svideo cable for it as the picture looks so much better for it. As a general rule 3D N64 games tend to age very poorly but dont let that put you off theres some fantastic games out there.

Hell you should know by now as i sent you looking for most of them. Oh & try to get conkers bad fur day. Its too good to pass up on.

Yeah, Hybrid Heaven looks really crappy!! The Saturn has much better and cleaner 3D than that game. I hope all N64 3D games don't look as blurry. Actually the composite output on the N64 seems pretty nice compared to some other systems but yeah, I really need S-Video. I can get a scart but my TV or new ones don't have scart sockets

Was Conkers Bad Fur Day released in Japan? I'd love to get that one.

nope, it was europe and us only release. Though id imagine on ebay its cheap to get. Actually i was curious, are 64 game expensive in japan? Ive started to slowly collect japaense releases and was wondering what the prices were in japan. As for the blurry, get a bit used to it, some games look very grainy when put on a digital tv (like my wega) or an hd tv. Id say give golden eye a try as well, but id imagine teh japanes version fatchign quite a bit. Also might want to try the banjo kazooie games.

Quite a haul today! Ok so we had christmas late this year (family is all over the place) still nice selection, though I did buy the stick for myself!

So I'm sure most of it is fairly obvious, except for the Vampire hunter d perfect collection, on 4 discs. Gankutsou classical selection (blue cd), Gankutsou dvd 1 limited edition on 2 discs, mushihime ltd. Oh and the thing in the bottom right is a vivienne westwood silver case (courtesy of my lil sis)

    PC-FXGA Programming Book

Received this from Yakumo while I was away on vacation, a NEC PC-FXGA programming book.

I'm a big fan of NEC consoles and thanks to this book I will learn more how the PC-FX is programmed (in C here I believe). This book focuses a lot on 3D, the PC-FX did not have any 3D chips but the PC-FXGA has a chipset capable of displaying 50,000 polygons. The book contains code listing of 3D games and demos, explanation on the FX compiler and the FX libraries. The CDs contains a compiler, libraries, a 3D editor...

A big thank again to  Yakumo for his help in sourcing such a gem.

babu - it is an awesome collection of the two versions of the film (with all the special features on two discs) then a further disc of unique special features (45 mins yet to be watched) and then a full ost with some bonus tracks. All in a great box with a illustration booklet. priced in japan at 14000 odd yen. I really like it, great way to complete the collection and it has some yoshitaka amano artwork not in the various art books and great amano picture labels on the discs and boxes.

Yeah Sayin999 is correct, conker wasnt released in japan but Jpn N64's can play Us games if you remove the tabs from inside your cart slot. Conker is the only Us game i own in a 99% Jpn collection, its the N64 at its pinnacle of power.

Rare really knew how to handle the N64, probably even more than nintendo in some games.

BTW can you still get hold of brand new copies of N64 Doubutsu no mori with the controller pak or has that shop that had them now sold them all??
