Went to Laredo Texas, conveniently located about 4 hours from my city, with good friends.

Got New Super Mario Bros for the DS. Very good so far! I have been playing it like an addict for almost a week now, should be done with it in a few days. I was hoping to find Hori brand Screen Protectors, but everyone had cheap Pelican stuff, wich I already have out of necessity.

Also got the Chun-Li Street Fighter Controller for 12 dollars. They didn't have any of the other characters, just Chun Li. I was going to get two, but a friend stoped me, hoping that I could find the other controllers in other stores. Unfortunatley, every store had the controllers, and every one had them more expensive than the previous one. We went from 12 dollars to 30. The controller was okay, but definitively not worth more than 20. I'mean, it doesn't even rumble!

Also found a universal adapter for Snes/Genesis/Jaguar/TurboGrafx (should be useful!) and a brand new Memory Card for the Dreamcast.

When I arrived home, a package from play asia arrived: brand new Valis 3 for megadrive. I ordered it with Chu Chu Rocket for the Dreamcast, but only Valis was inside the parcel. After talking about it with playasia, they agreed to send me another Chu Chu Rocket.

My first surprise with Valis 3 is that Megadrive carts do not physically fit the Genesis slot. Good thing I had a GameGenie at hand!

I won a auction for Tempest 2000 for the Jaguar, (on deremate.com.mx) but it seems I will never get the game

Payed for it and everything. Bad seller, guess this had to happen sooner than later. First time in 4 years of participating in auctions that this happens. The good thing is that I managed to convinced the seller to give me a good grade, so at the very least my reputation remains almost perfect on the site. The bastard was either kicked off the community or he quited it, so meh.

Found a great deal today in the junk section at Hard Off. The Gundam Premium disc in almost mint condition for only 200 yen. The disc is perfect but the soft sods stuck a price sticker on the card cover which has left a nasty goo on it that I'll have to remove.

PAL mini-pod

Got a brand new PAL mini pod - feels quite dinky compared to normal sized pod. Came boxed with original shipping checklist from Valley Group.
Also got two big heavy blue slabs of steel for something - no idea what they are for...(pics not shown)

The top of the pod doesn't have a light display - don't believe the mini pods had light displays-
there's no receptacles to take one, but there are two steel tabs with a hole in them, as if something?! goes in there.

caved and bought a DS Lite today (for those considering it, walmart has them for 123.50, thats a lil savings)

Finally got Yakiniku bugyou for ps1 (Barbecue cooking game) & i finally got a mint copy of wonder kitchen to replace the totally destroyed copy i previously had & umm a hard gay dvd single *cough* :lol:

Was that wii controller/TV remote ever released by club nintendo? I remember them announcing it about november, but nothing more..

 

Nah its still not released nintendo are waiting till before the release of the wii before they send them out.

Ok, after a long time, i finally manage to get some stuff. Did a great deal on a lot of japanese PS1 games. Most of them are launch titles:

- Gunners Heaven - 2D Platform - Gunstar Heroes clone (After a long time i finally manage to get a new one :dance: )

- Nekketsu Oyako (Hot Blooded Family) - 2D Platform - Final Fight / Streets of Rage clone.

- Arthur to Astaroth: Nazo-Makai-Mura - Incredible Toons - Puzzle game

- Night Head – The Labyrinth - CG RPG thing. Haven't tested yet.

- Cosmic Race - crazy 3d racing game.

- Moero!! Pro Yakyuu '95: Double Header – (a.k.a. Bases Loaded '96)

- Space Griffon VF-9 - haven't tested it yet.

I really didn't want to buy Tomb Raiders (already have the NTSC-U/C version) and the baseball games. But the seller didn't want to split the package. Anyway, the whole lot costed me 100 Reais! (43 dollars). Hermie Hopperhead and Gunners Heaven go on ebay for 50 dollars each!

The only drawbacks are the missing spine cards. But all games are in mint condition (not a single scratch on the discs and manuals like new).

Can someone tell me if some of these games are rare. I know Metal Jacket was only released in Japan and like Cosmic Race, Gunners Heaven and Nekketsu Oyako, they were never re-released.

Quick question, is Hermie Hopperhead any good? I am always up for a 2D platform game and I don't know whether to add it to my shopping list for Japan.

Just a quick note to say for anyone who is interested Play-Asia have Espgaluda II capture DVD and booklet in stock right now. I pre-ordered mine, but they still have stock left (at the time of writing).

Considering the prices on Yahoo right now it is probably a good idea to grab one soon. And at 35 quid it seems really cheap, especially for 3 discs and a booklet. I'm sure they could have sold the set for double that without bothering too many people.
