Well it doesn't look like that it looks the same as my PAL copy back home so it must be the USA version.

I also picked up a Super Famicom JP system which strangely came with a minty fresh SNES comboy controller.

Very cool pad. Nice to see they didn't go with the swizzle US pad.

(Swizzles are purple coloured sweets that look just like the concave buttons on a US SNES pad)

Yeah it's a beauty, funny you should mention how it looks, my GF is from canada and is obviously used to the NTSC-U snes...first thing she said when she saw it was "my god what the fuck were the western design division of Nintendo thinking?" Her reaction was the same when I explained that the genesis was originally a Megadrive.

Although this isn't the right thread, would anyone mind telling me what the controller and the game might be worth in the western market?

It was just released here in the US last month (though we did get the Metal Slug Collection at launch).
The definitive version from what I gather as the PS2 and PSP versions had some issues.

Cool, I'll be looking out for that if it ever gets a Japanese release.

A few more buys this week for Saturn including BackGuiner which has some if not the best quality FMV on the Saturn and that includes those titles that work with the MPEG cartridge. This is really nice. You could even go as far as saying it was DVD quality in places.

I paid a visit to customs today, and came back with this:

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    DTL-T10000H J
    DTL-H10010 PCMCIA Card
    DTL-H10020 Power Supply
    DTL-H20400 External HDD
    DTL-P11000A System Manuals (Japanese)

In the box, but not in the picture:
DTL-S8220 EB Tool Chain Release 0.5.0
    DTL-S12000 Runtime Library Release 1.0
DTL-S13010 SCE Development Tool Chain Release 2.0
    DTL-S15010 CD/DVD Generator Version 1.10

The sticker on the back reads AC100V only, so I opened it to check whether that's all the power supply supports (mains here work at 250V). Until then, the unit was unopened with all copper tape intact. Fortunately, the PSU is the same as in the european models . Plugged in, machine boots, network info appears :icon_bigg.

Yes, indeed. I have seen at least 4 of them on eBay within the last 2 months, and this was one of them. Though all these machines miss the emulator card... :katamari:

A few more buys this week including a Saturn video preview disc by Koei featuring more of their historic crap and Gotha II. Also Super Double Dragon for the SFC. From what I remember the Japanese version had quite a few differences from the US release plus it also has a cool sound test.
