Some new stuff this week. Two not so cheap Saturn games being the breast out Tokimeki Mahjong Paradise and Zoku Hatsukoi Monogatari. Ranma 1/2 on the Mega CD and some Shogi game for the Saturn. A lovely Chinese / Japanese Mega Drive multi cart from Dante featuring Runark, Devil Crash, Kabuki Warriors and Quack Shot. Finally the fantastic Mad World on Wii thanks to ServiceGames .

What a steal. Brand new still factory sealed Saturn modem for only 40yen!! Also it's a bit of a strange one since it comes with 3 titles and has a sticker on the box saying "Multimedia Only". I've never seen one of them before on a Saturn Modem

They normally all come with these three titles unless it's some kind of bundle version. 40yen is nothing, I think you even made a good deal if the box was empty. I paid 500yen for mine and the soft is also sealed. It seems to me like Sega overestimated the online market in the mid-90s and was left with a bunch of freight containers full of modems.

Do you know how many versions or box variations of this modem are around? I know only two, this and the Decathlete one but I'm sure there were some more.

I know there are 2 versions of the red box type shown above with different serial codes but they could be just the pack in and the solo set like you mentioned. Apart from them the only other I know of is the Decathlete one which you mentioned.

Well I got my tax money yesterday and splurged a little bit on myself.

2 DC keyboards and mice, a copy of Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 Arena. Now I just need Typing of the Dead.
I bought a Nomad in great condition for $50.
I went out to Target and found a cheap bookcase for $32 because I was starting to run out of room for all my gaming stuff.
It really looks beautiful, I wish I had a working camera though to take a picture.

Here's the layout from top to bottom:

On top - Steel Battalion Controller with a Power Pad sitting behind it.
    5th Shelf - NES/SNES games (about 90% are NES games though =P)
4th Shelf - Master System, NES
3rd Shelf - Model 1 Genesis with Model 2 Sega CD and games for both systems, and my Nomad
4th Shelf - Coleco Adam with Atari 2600 expansion with Atari 2600 wireless controller receiver and then on top of the Adam sits my SNES.
Bottom Shelf - Adam Printer, Controllers for Adam/2600.

Then last but not least I won a Sealed Mega Man 9 Press Kit on ebay for $150 B.I.N.

I may go out and get another one of those cheap book cases because I still need room for my 3DO, coleco and atari games, N64 stuff, Atari 5200 stuff, etc. Not to mention I'm not sure where I'm going to put the Mega Man 9 Press Kit.

I recently picked up a second 360, too. My old one (a Core from around the time of launch) isn't broken, I'm just sick of it not having HDMI or a hard drive... Plus, Littlewoods (of all places) had a special offer: a brand new Elite system for £150 delivered. And my cow-irker won one with games a few hours earlier when we were at a coding conference, so I couldn't let him have a better setup than me. :)

I finally signed up for an Xbox Live Gold account, too. Now I can experience the joys of gaming whilst being shouted at by hordes of hooting dick-holes. Fun times.

Now to get myself a copy of Left 4 Dead...

Not game related unless you count the fact that it's full of games

Just bought my own home. Looks like I'll be here forever now. The exterior isn't finished yet but the actual house is.

Picture is 3 weeks old so things look better now.

It's looks dark in that picture. The real colour is a lot lighter but to be honest I don't care (My wife picked it) because the inside is what I wanted. Very sleek

Very nice Yakumo, I'm guessing its quite a big property by Japanese standards. That veranda looks great for the morning coffee before heading off to work

yeah, the veranda is surprisingly big because we couldn't afford to make the upper floor as long as the lower floor. I'm really looking forward to sitting out there in the late summer breeze. The actual house is quite big for Japanese standards with 3 bed rooms, living room, dining room, dining kitchen, 2 of those crazy cyber toilets, sauna bathroom and Japanese tatami style room. We've even got a 3 space car park for some reason. Basically we bought the land from Mitsubishi then paid them to built the house. Total cost is about 28 million yen (213,795 Euros / 283,375 USD). Ours is very small and cheap though compared to the other 3 made so far on this Mitsubishi plot of land. The other people are all high level Mitsubishi employees while my wife is low level and I don't even work in Mitsubishi plus drive a Subaru while they are drive Mitsubishi cars.
