I bought myself an early crimbo present off ebay last week and it has just arrived today.




The console came with 2 official dual shock controllers, a Logitech PS2 branded headset, a Havoc PS2 DVD remote receiver, a 1mb Jotech card and a 8mb AR2 V2 card.
The console is in great condition for the price, it looks like it has hardly been used and the colour has not faded at all.
Its also got the Yaroze ports and the serial number matches the box.

 

It looks board swapped to me, but I'm no Playstation expert though...

 

Na, apparently some of them actually had black ports for some reason. I think they were later on? Not sure of the dates, but they come up occasionally.

 

Yes, from what I have read these where the later models when Sony must have run out of the green ports.
The console is in very good condition considering it came from EA, so it is likely one of the later units.

 

if it came from EA you should probably get it blessed by a priest or something ya know, just in case lo, also like your avatar haha Alex Kidd!

 

Well that's a good thing Logi, usually when colours don't match to me I instantly think "board swap". Glad it's the real deal

Cheers mate. when I first seen one of these consoles I thought the same as you.
But apparently some of these consoles came like this as standard, there just a lot less common.

 

Means it's a bit more rare than the others too.

 

I got the same sort of thing (50 odd games). Similar sort of games, but mostly the awful sports and RPG's. Never again....

 

A few SFC games from the last week. Apple Seed and Power Instinct are brand new but only 500 yen each because the tops of the boxes are faded.

Nice haul, Big Run is pile of pooh isn't it??? No mode 7 WTF???

 

Yep, Big Run is a steaming heap of crap but for some reason I had to buy it. It really is poor, so poor that it's actually worth taking a look at to see just how poor it is. Apple Seed is also really poor.

 

hehe I have a very mint copy of Big Run, no wonder why... At least the cover doesn't look that bad...

 

How much does a complete copy of Outrun go for in Japan? For the MD (or other versions really). May have to pick some up sometime

 

Was it from Hit-Japan, I got a box of 100 PS2 game from them and about 50% was crap football and baseball games.
2 box's of 100+ PS2 games just arrived today from Yamatoku and almost all are action, shooting, RPG's and only about 5 ot 6 sports games in each box
+ all Metal Gear Solid's, Devil may Cry's, FF's, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Ball z's etc

 

Hmm, about 500 to 1000 yen. It all depends on the shop. MD games are starting to rise in price these days however but you should still be able to get most common titles for under 1000 yen in very nice condition.

 

Yes hit japan.

My own damn fault though, luckily it was paid for with disposable income.

 

Was it a blind auction or something?
