Thrift Store Find: Halo Green XBOX with controllers

I found this Halo Edition Green XBOX with the Halo controller and a normal s controller for $29.99 with a 15% off discount. The XBOX powers on but the door does not open and the controller thumbsticks are damaged. But for this price I think it was a pretty good deal. This is my first Halo Edition XBOX and I was waiting for the day that I would run into one. I kind of been on a roll for the past couple months with finding XBOX stuff

My first Halo xbox I found at a Goodwill Outlet, paid for it by weight. Cost me only $8 and some change, worked like a charm. I later found a Halo controller on ebay for $5.99 with $2.99 shipping that had a damaged cable, popped it open and swapped the guts with a working controller. Love that thing.

Unfortunately the Halo and S controller do not work. So I will have to either do what you did by swapping the guts of a working controller or leave everything as a museum piece for the showroom

Since stock was crashing down for the Majora's Mask N3DS. I decided to pre-order it so I have all the Zelda 3DSs of the 3DS family.

 

Bought a new phone.




Also got a late christmas present. Went to have lunch with my brother and he surprised me with this big box:



He said it was 70% off (cheaper than amazon USA) and since he was buying one for himself, decided to get another one for me. I never played an Assassins Creed game that much, except for a demo kiosk and at BGS 2012. Never had much interest in the series. Ubisoft attitudes didn't helped it either. With their recent fuck-ups, should i really go ahead and play this?

I have a feeling that's a aftermarket case. The sticker does look tempered.

i also have opened it. the controller wasn't responsive 100% or the time, had a damaged cable.

 

I need a clear shot of the sticker for reasons

corner was already messed up like that before I opened it.
Also side note about that sticker, It shows no sign of being swapped from a different controller.
The little circles left from where the screw hole is on the controller matches perfectly and there is no sign of it being placed down differently at any point.

 

X08-69873 is the part number for the US black S controller.

Oh I have no doubt its a aftermarket case, Its a very nicely made one though. It doesn't surprise me that the sticker would say it was for a Black S controller, still it doesn't make it any less cool in my opinion. I've never seen a Red controller before, Third party or not, its a rarity in my book.

I don't have the information with me, but there was a contest held by MS and announced at either GDC or E3 in regards to what colors the fans wanted for controllers to be sold as accessories. Blue & Green happened to be the winners.

You guys are many steps behind on the research Ive done on the red controller Red prototypes do, indeed exist, outside of Microsoft even. You've caught up with the poll, but a red controller was sold back before any third party shells were made, showing that at the very least, they do exist.

Now, I am fairly certain that this particular one is a 3rd party shell. As certain as I can be anyway.

And can we please stop using the stupid XFusion site for anything at all? It has a picture, followed by pages of speculation hah. (Which, by the way, there is a chance that the picture there is real, but there isn't enough information to confirm that.)
