I wish I was, but I'm just using it for pc gaming since it came with 20gb ram and 2x quad 3ghz xeons.

There was definitely no issue with cooling itself. It's just way loud and I have it at my desk. So I just got quiter pwm fans and now it sounds like a regular pc but stays just as cool.

 

Not the first time I've heard [or seen, I entered my aunts house, asked what the noise was. It was an low-end server used for basic internet browsing] of people using servers as normal PC's and probably wont be the last lol

 

Well since the "post everytime you buy something" thread had vanished I've re-titled this thread. It was silly having two threads that were basically the same anyway.

Berserk for the Dreamcast
Super R-Type for the Super Famicom



Uncensored "Asian" version of South Park arrived today. It only took 4 days from Play Asia withthe free shipping option + tracking. I'm surprised it came so soon. Also got a music CD of tracks made using the Korg software on the DS.

It was moved?? It's odd putting it there. Maybe it would be best to combine that thread and this one? What are people's thoughts on that?

 

So today I traded a launch console 360 that've repaired idk how many times for an ATI HD6990... I was told I would be getting a good graphics card for it but jesus... and yes it works

 

I found an official Nintendo Component Cable this weekend at my local video game store for $5! I am all about getting the best video quality (natively) out of my older generation consoles and I was about to pay $150+ for one on eBay. So far in my years of collecting, MY BEST FIND YET!

 

Picked up 2 Game Theory Admirals (Old portable NES clones) for $3 each. Brand new.

Also got a Tamagotchi Game for Gameboy that has an odd shaped cart for $1. It's called "Tamagotchi V3. OSUCHI & MESUTCHI". I like the shape of the cart. Had to have it. Brand new as well.

Got an iQue Player for $20 also.

Can you verify it's indeed uncensored? From what I read on the WWW, is that the Asian import version uses the Ozzy PAL code, so it should be censored too

You are right. PlayAsia and their BS. I was told it was the same code as the US version just like many Asian games but what I actually received was the Australian version of the game. It has the censored probing screen but with a koala instead of the statue of David. I'm pretty pissed off to tell the truth but there's not much I can do now. I can't be bothered sending it back. The game is still great though.

 

I thought it'd be censored. Even though we got the 18+ rating, it's still watered down... Load of a bullshit to be honest. All this does is increase piracy, that's exactly what many have done.

 

Well to be fair not everyone can run pirate 360 games unlike you could with older consoles. Or at least people who like to use their 360 online like I do. It's funny but these days I don't even think about pirating a modern game. I guess it's because I have more money now than when I was young. Also, I don't need to own every single game out there like I did when Saturn Hong Kong silvers were new in the mid 90s.

That's pretty shitty (and unusual) of Play-Asia. Really odd that they sourced a PAL AU copy if it's region free. Would've thought it would be cheaper and easier to get Euro copies, or perhaps even NZ. Hm. Looks like the NTSC/U copy is region locked too. Duuuuumb.

 

I found a couple of ps1 HK silvers in a box the other day, those things were awesome. I remember depositing pocket money into a random bank account and a week or two later a jiffy bag would turn up.
Your absolutely right however, i probably spent more in the long run on discs id try once then if i had of bought the originals of the ones that were good.

 

I was thinking the exact same thing... Just doesn't make sense whatsoever.
