I have contributed to the thread with a release, and WTF have you done for it? Which one did you release? That is right none, now please STFU till you have something meaningful to say. Besides if you bothered to even read the topic wasn't about just a pirate cart but an actual Megadrive game that was dumped only yesterday.

And BTW here is another BETA that was released only this year as I did it myself only a week or so ago.

Virtua Tennis v1.000 Beta (EU) That is of course another Dreamcast BETA. Retail is v1.001 so not sure what the differences are but I know Street Fighter 3 Third Strike BETA v1.000 had unblockables while v1.001 they were removed so who knows.

Also here is the selfbooting CDI copy of the Dave Mirra BMX BETA I dumped, the other is a GDI for emulation only. Nothing was ripped or downsampled in this release and retained original sort order as well. CDDA was unedited as well and fits on a standard 80min CDR.

    Dave.Mirra.85%.Preview.Build.GDR.BETA [CDI]

It's an actual game yes, but this thread is about prototypes. You didn't release a prototype in your other post. If you want to release Pirate games then why not make a thread about it?

I did and released it. It is a pirate of a retail game and until now was never cracked or use able. Anyhow got two new Dreamcast BETA's for this thread released TODAY by me, so get it while it is HOT!!!

Jeremy MC Grath Super Cross GDR BETA v0.800 [GDI]

South Park Rally GDR BETA v0.300 [GDI]

Both dumped twice with Hit-0400, httpd-ack
20080711, System Disc 2, HKT-3020 with Samsung GD-ROM dirve. Both gave matching checksums and disc are clean and without a scratch. Both games work fine in NullDC and CDI selfbooting copies for your Dreamcast after I do some testing to ensure it is done just right. But I did upload Dave Mirra Pro BMX in both CDI and GDI forms already.

Dave Mirra Preview Build GDR BETA v0.800 [CDI]

Dave Mirra Preview Build GDR BETA v0.800 [GDI]

Updating GDI link to Mega now so old link will not be active to long for GDI file. If it dies have no fear I am posting a new one as we speak.

Cool additions. Added, plus another Bananabreak release from the downloads forum. Dreamcast is the first system here to go past one release.

I like the steady flow of things so far. Only looking forward to more.

Nightmare Creatures II is done and will be uploaded as soon as I get home. My system was on the fritz with random resets. Fixed that and dumped the files. So much CDDA it is insane. Ill send the link when I get home as well as another BETA of Red Dog Superior Firepower.

My first build is in the downloads section if you missed it but with the help of Braze I have been able to make enemies appear as well as background elements working in level 4 if I recall. Not enough yet for a new build till I sort a few more things.

I have however made a nice build of LeGits new dump he released I will be posting after I finish my testing on the two betas I just selfbooted from my gdrs. I like to make sure they are of the highest quality before release so I dont have to repack. Also look for a new build of Hell Gate you can actually play. Been testing system link play with my wife and it is a ton of fun. Propeller Arena and PBA Bowling 2001 have already been fixed and run a million times better as Belokk and Megalexx screwed them up.

And once my Flintstones arrives look for a new build of that. SGMX used a coders cable to dump and there is errors in the files due to using gzip to speed up the ripping process. This will be ripped via BBA and dummied out properly. I already ripped my Propeller Arena from GD-ROM using BBA so that is of a verified dump.

I got Hells Gate because I always wanted to play that but the old rip just went ape after the first main cut scene. So, I'm looking forward to playing that release. I didn't notice anything wrong with the original Propeller Arena but I will give your release a go to see what's different. I also downloaded the CRI disc. Not seen it yet but looking forward to seeing it. Thanks so much for these releases. I'm not sure about bothering with the Flinstones though. I had the white label original. man, what a load of shit that game is.

Well Hell Gate is going to be a mixed bag. The video files are what's corrupt. So we are removing the corrupt ones with working videos like loading etc. You will miss some of the story line but you will be able to play 80% of the game at least. The story sucks anyhow. Not what I would call proper but it is the best we can do.

As for Propeller Arena Megalexx had the two afs files split up. One at the start of the disc and one at the end. The game needs to pull data from both at once so this made the laser go back and forth a lot. It put the together at the end of the disc right next to each other so the laser doesn't have to go from one end of the disc to the other. He also didn't dummy the file at all so that helps with load times alot as well. I also hacked the passport files and BBA config tool and unlike Megalexx release they work now.

And Flinstones while horrible deserves to be properly preserved as it is a rare game done wrong. Seems only morons get a hold of good rare games and fudge them up when converting to CDI. The Dreamcast Clean Merge Project is at about 225 games. Each one has all regional, language and version variants. There are even quite a few BETA' s packed with them. It is just over 600 freshly and properly ripped CDI files in an archive under 60gb. We aim to do all games from all regions properly. If anyone needs access please drop me a PM and we will get you setup.

Few weeks ago I sold 2 protos to Archminion. They were Twisted Metal Harbor City and Warhawk, both cancelled PS2 games.

What was Warhawk PS2 like? I imagine it was just a airplane game.

Unfortunately the Warhawk build is non functional, it crashes with an out of resources error, it was programmed on top of War of The Monsters so there may be some hope that someone with the right skills might be able to get it running. The TMHC build needed minor work to get going, mostly to deal with files being located wrong. There is a large thread over at Twisted Metal Alliance.

Warhawk was likely expecting a unit with more memory, possibly a TOOL.

The out of resources error was what the dsedb program said, so it was running on the Tool, I still have it on the tool so I can experiment with it or a copy of it once I unbury my Tool. Both protos were found on the T14000 DVD Emulator kit that my Tool had when I got it.

Ah alright, thats a bit different then. Is it possible for PCSX2 to be edited to support more memory, like how Dolphin was?

Not sure if it helps but the on screen log shows it loading 3 fairly large files and then crashing.

The thing is, it depends on how that game was built: Developers most likely assume that the Playstation 2 retail console has got 32MB of RAM (And TOOLs have got 128MB).

AFAIK despite the Playstation 2 kernel having a syscall that returns the amount of RAM available to the EE, no games use it as Sony didn't document its existence at all. (Hence, even if you gave the console more RAM, the game won't use it).

The kernel doesn't handle memory allocation, hence the game must have really run out of resources on its own.
