I get what you mean. I got my friend to tell me his PS1's info. =) The first 18 ps1's on that list btw, are mine and won't be binned. I also would love to make a DB like that but a PS1-DB.. like I'm trying to do here.
Yay just got the PS1 I bought yesterday. It works and looks really nice, it's my 20th ps1. ^^ SCPH-9002 - C9440483 <3
My friend is sending me a SCPH-1001 today to Iceland straight from USA, can't wait. ^^ Will perhaps be the only 1001 in the country?
SCPH-1002 Serial=T0440648 Mod chipped (early mod chip), colour fix (to play other region games in colour), new replacement laser and replaced felt feet. This was one of my first material possession's that I bought when I first started working fulltime. It is actually a replacement as the original original died after 2 or 3 weeks. I remember getting it over the Saturn due to cost (it had a big price drop) and the Saturn came with an RF cable which I thought was shit (espec. for the price). SCPH-7502 Serial=T6634432 Mod chipped, other than that original. My mum does a lot of Garage Sales/Op shopping and came across this and gave it to me. (Thanks Mum!)
SCPH-1001= U6191125 Got for $5 at a garage sale. Works and in pristine condition, but only one game, I was a N64 kid, so I had none laying around, and I'm not keen on buying 15+ year old CD's off the internet (speccially knowing how the average person treated them). All I got is MGS, not bad considering it's one of the PS's best. Waiting for PSIO.
SCPH-1001 - U9057945 - an REALLY SUPER awesome american friend me this <3 I will ALWAYS adore you!!!! I just had to get an USA console for my PAL collection, my 21th console ^^ :3 Works fine! I also just had to save one from the Audiophile people.. It will be stored as original as possible.
Some more SCPH-100x's "saved" ...although they need some repairs: SCPH-1002, serial C5487837 - not reading CDs correctly, presumably needs new laser/drive SCPH-1002, serial C6303192 - not reading CDs at all and drive is very noisy, presumably needs new drive Both do start up, show video and play sound; haven't tested the parallel I/O ports yet. Will also try and swap in a known good PSone drive (as they seem to be interchangeable?) to make sure the lasers/drives are at fault.
A nice idea even if only out of curiosity! SCPH-5552 B3403073 - working perfect, and with me since xmas 1997 SCPH-1002 B2737589 - modchip, works but laser worn, loading issues. This one was donated by a friend. Will replace the laser when I get the chance to pick up a loose psone cheap I have a new SCPH-1002 and an SCPH-1000 that needs some work packed away under my bed. When I get them out I'll come post the serials Also... Wow! Thanks for mentioning this, hadn't heard anything about it until now. Pretty exciting
Thanks for the contributions guys, NICE job on saving 6 ONES! I'm so proud of you. :3 I'm asking all around Iceland for ps1's, even non-working ones haha, I'm going to save as many as possible! If you see one that is going to be binned, GO FOR IT!! Save it, no matter the condition, what matters is saving these babies.<3 edit: will add those in tomorrow, time for bed, lulz.
I have a question regarding #9 and #11. #9 - SCPH-9002 - C4764481 #11 - SCPH-9002 - C4764432 they are like only 40 numbers between... does this mean they were close in the assembly? They have so close VIN's!!!

5502 - T731666 PAL ( Untested ) I'm in the process of setting up my game room, so I'm putting it off for the time being, couldn't resist buying it when it had a $5 price tag on it ( I use my PS3 to play PS1 games ).
