The problem is that, like with the N64, if you keep up with this for too much time buyers will gett tired of waiting and will get another console. About the PS3, theres a rumor of sony considering a price cut. I dont know how they could archieve it, since they're already losing money with the current MSRP. EDIT: the rumor its over, there wont be any price cuts... Sony currently doesn't have any specific plan to cut the PlayStation 3's price.
