I wasn't trolling. I was stating fact and sticking up for you. I knew that they wanted to protect the design and I don't have a problem with that.

Lookout the politically correct police are here! Besides, it's not a personal attack when directed so broadly :)
It was not my choice to post high resolution photos. The owners of the PSIO project requested I not.

I have no idea, looks like a bunch of chips on a PCB to me! Guess I'm no engineer though :)

I'm not one of you, I am more patient. I am more like the silent people watching this thread unfold, but have decided to raise a hand to help.

I'm not a part of the PSIO project... just testing a board. However, if I do act like a douchebag it is only to counter other douchebags. If it is one thing I've learnt about the internet it is that fire works surprisingly well with fire. :p

I know you weren't, your post was entirely reasonable. Thank you for that :)

The rest of you, one week? Is that really so much to ask?
If you don't want updates on what's happening that's fine, I'll respect that.
I believe the people who are working on this project are doing a great job and I'd like to support them.
I'm simply tired of people yammering on about it not being real. I'm just here to put that to rest.

Fact is Kevin has already said such sexist attitudes have absolutely no place here, it has nothing to do with being "PC" (in fact I own a t-shirt where a flaming bag of dog shit is in front of heaven's pearly gates). Fact is you were so butt hurt you actually went and edited together a video and then posted it to YouTube and now want me to think you're not a tool bag by (your own admission no less) being a douchebag.

If those are the rules, I'll pull the video. I'm certainly not going to break those!

As for editing together a video, I'm still learning Final Cut so any video I can make is fun! When did the internet stop being fun?
But all in all, my apologies if anyone was offended. I don't have any malice toward anyone on these boards.

Edit: Think what you want, I'm not here to mind control anyone :)

I can attest to this as its happened to me. (True Story) one night I jokingly "said where dem hoes at" and I had ASSEMbler and a few mods breathing down my neck almost instantly. ( Just a query not meant to derail), we can't talk about religion ,but can we still talk shit about scientology.

I know you aren't, but if you really are a neutral third party simply interested in helping bring out the truth here, don't you think making videos taunting people and calling them names is just hurting your cause? Especially when that's the exact kind of ridiculousness that brought upon this distrust of the PSIO team to begin with? If you really want to help the PSIO team gain credibility, acting just like them just makes everyone think less of you in the end.

Geez, I was just giving an update and everyone got mean. Think what you want, but you know I'll deliver results.
I was only poking fun at those that wanted to be poked. I mean look at the reaction, there's a lot of angry people out there ready to jump on anything.

I didn't know much about the PSIO project when I put my hand up except that it had been going on for a while.
Lots of scepticism that seemed to be very negative. Strangely I don't see that going on in the DCIO thread...

Does this mean that PlayStation users are more angsty than Dreamcast users? Probably! :p

Thanks! Here's hoping a bunch of those games actually run too! :)
Otherwise they will make very short videos :p

Genuinely excited about this. I used to do PSX programming tutorials years ago and relied heavily on ePSXe for testing. Accuracy was often a headache and since I couldn't afford much in the way of hardware for testing, I went through several spindles of CD-Rs for 450k PlayStation executables. I will most certainly purchase one once available.

Later revisions are likely to support USB hdd apparently.

And thanks to RetroJunkie for the quick overview vid, that's more like it.

Everyone seems pretty keen on the old USB hard drives, I guess for the gamer who likes to have all their games in one place it is a good idea.
I know I enjoy having the entire Mega Drive library on an SD card on the Mega EverDrive!

You can count on me! ;)

Ouch. There is no need to do that. You can use PSXSERIAL software for your PS-X EXE uploading needs.
All you need is a cheap USB-TTL adapter and RX,TX and GND lines connected to your PSX. Works on all PSXes and PSones (you have to solder on PSones).

If you don't have a means to build the adapter but still can place saves on a Memory Card you can use my MCLaunch.
It's a software suite for converting PS-X EXEs to saves and then launching them from Memory Cards on a real console.

    Erm...
Why did you offer to test a psio if you don't have a PSX?

I'm pretty sure he does have a PSX - he's just not at home right now.

Yep spot on - seven or eight PlayStations all out of reach until late this week when I return to the hive.

I'll be doing testing with an SCPH-5502 model as it appears to be quite common.
Will probably do some testing on others as time permits. I live in a very time poor world.

Interesting, I live in a very time rich but financially poor world - not sure what's better, lots of time and no money or lots of money and no time. To get back to topic, that's exactly the same model PSX I have (5502). Will be looking forward to seeing it in action.
